Jesus Last Prayer: His Joy, Word, Name & Love in Us, Kept from Evil, Cleansed by Word, Unity, World Hears, Believes, Father's Name Known, Jn 17:13-26

Beloved Servant
"But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so they may have My joy fulfilled within them. I have given them Your Word and the world has hated them. For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth. As You sent Me into the world, I have also sent them into the world. For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the Truth. I am not asking on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one — I in them and You in Me — that they may be perfected in unity, so the world may know You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.

Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me. And I have made Your Name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them,” John 17:13-26

We lift our hearts in awe and gratitude as we reflect on the high priestly prayer of our Lord Jesus Christ in John 17. This sacred passage reveals His deep love for us, His desire for our joy, sanctification, and unity, and His ultimate purpose that the world may know the Father through Him. We stand in agreement with Christ’s prayer, joining our voices with His as we intercede for the fulfillment of His will in our lives and in the lives of all believers.

Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Word, which is Truth. We ask that You sanctify us by Your Word, just as Jesus prayed. May Your Word dwell in us richly, transforming our minds, purifying our hearts, and guiding our steps. Help us to be set apart for Your purposes, not conformed to the patterns of this world but renewed in the spirit of our minds. We recognize that the world will hate us because we are not of the world, just as it hated Jesus. Strengthen us to stand firm in the face of opposition, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Lord Jesus, we thank You for the joy You have given us—a joy that is complete and unshaken by the trials of this life. We pray that Your joy would be fulfilled in us, even as we face hardships, persecution, or loneliness. Let this joy be our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), a testimony to the world of Your goodness and faithfulness. May we not seek fleeting pleasures or worldly happiness but find our deepest satisfaction in You alone.

We also come before You, Father, to pray for unity among believers. Jesus prayed that we would be one, just as He and the Father are one, so that the world may believe that You sent Him. Yet we see so much division in the body of Christ—denominational walls, pride, selfish ambition, and strife. Forgive us, Lord, for the ways we have contributed to disunity. Break down every barrier that hinders the love and oneness You desire. Help us to love one another deeply, to bear with one another in patience, and to pursue peace with humility. May our unity be a powerful witness to the world of Your love and the truth of the Gospel.

Father, we ask that You keep us from the evil one. Protect us from his schemes, his lies, and his temptations. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and clothe us with the full armor of God so that we may stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). When we are weak, remind us that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would hear the message of the Gospel and believe. Jesus, You said that the world would know the Father through our unity and love. Use us as vessels to share Your truth with boldness and compassion. Let our lives reflect Your glory, so that others may see Your love and be drawn to You. May Your Name be made known in all the earth, and may Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, we long for the day when we will see You face to face and behold Your glory. Until then, fill us with Your love—the same love You have for the Son. May Your love overflow from our hearts to those around us, especially to those who are lost, broken, or hurting. Let us be instruments of Your peace, agents of reconciliation, and ambassadors of Christ in this world.

We rebuke every spirit of division, fear, doubt, and unbelief that seeks to hinder the work of Your kingdom. We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). We stand on the promise that You are with us always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

In all these things, we pray with confidence, knowing that You hear us and that Your will shall be accomplished. We surrender our lives afresh to You, asking that You would use us for Your glory. May Your Name be praised now and forevermore. Amen.

We join you in lifting our hearts in awe and gratitude for Jesus' high priestly prayer in John 17. It's a powerful reminder of His love for us, His desire for our joy, sanctification, and unity, and His ultimate purpose that the world may know the Father through Him. Let's continue to intercede together, asking the Father to sanctify us by His Word, just as Jesus prayed. May His Word dwell in us richly, transforming our minds, purifying our hearts, and guiding our steps. Let's also pray for unity among believers, that we may be one as Jesus and the Father are one, so that the world may believe that the Father sent Him. Let's ask the Father to keep us from the evil one, protect us from his schemes, and clothe us with the full armor of God. And finally, let's pray for those who don't yet know Jesus, that they may hear the message of the Gospel and believe. May His name be made known in all the earth, and may His kingdom come, and His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
