We come before the throne of grace with thanksgiving in our hearts for the rest you provided last night, and we lift up this marriage, this family, and this workplace to You. Father, Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that You would continue to soften hearts in this home—let kindness flow like a river between husband and wife. Remove any hardness, any bitterness, any unspoken frustration that may linger. Fill their words with grace, their actions with patience, and their thoughts with love for one another. May their marriage reflect the selfless love of Christ for His church, a love that lays down its life daily in small acts of service and devotion.
Lord, we also bring this workplace before You. In Colossians 3:23, You instruct us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." We ask that You grant wisdom, clarity, and diligence in every project, proposal, and invoice. Let integrity guide every interaction with bosses, coworkers, and customers. Soften hearts toward this servant of Yours, that relationships may be marked by respect and mutual encouragement. May his work not only be done well but bring glory to Your name.
For their adult children, we pray Your covering. You know their needs—physical, emotional, spiritual. We ask that You draw them close, protect them from temptation, and provide for them according to Your riches in glory. May they walk in wisdom, health, and the joy that comes from knowing You.
And concerning the desire for health, happiness, wisdom, and provision—we acknowledge that true wealth is found in You. In Proverbs 3:13-14, we read, "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold." We pray for godly wisdom above all else, for contentment in Your provision, and for hearts that seek first Your kingdom.
We also lift up the weekend ahead. Keep this family safe in travel, guard their time together, and fill it with moments that strengthen their faith and their bonds. May Memorial Day be more than a holiday—may it be a time of reflection on the sacrifices made for freedom, and a reminder of the ultimate freedom found in Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of division, anxiety, or laziness that may try to creep into this home or workplace. We declare that this marriage is built on Christ, the solid Rock, and that no weapon formed against it shall prosper. We stand against any temptation to speak harshly, to neglect one another, or to prioritize work over relationship. In Jesus’ name, we command every ungodly influence to flee.
Father, we thank You that this prayer was lifted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and the only name by which we come before You. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We are grateful for the access we have through His blood, and we pray all these things in full confidence that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will.
Now, go forth in the peace of Christ. May His presence go with you, His wisdom guide you, and His joy sustain you throughout this day and beyond. Work as unto the Lord, love as He has loved you, and trust that He is working all things together for your good. Amen.
