Servant of All
Dear God please help my family. I need help with my AUD and My wife also drinks too much alcohol. My wife and my son smoke too many cigarettes and I think that they are having problems with their lungs like I did when I too smoked a pack of cigarettes each day for almost 10 years. Thank you God for helping me quit and to be able to stop smoking cigarettes by simply reading a book written by ### how to quit smoking cigarettes with out Will power in 30 days. I would wake up around 3 am every morning to cough and to through up to get the phlem out of my lungs. I hope this information helps someone else who is smoking cigarettes so that they too can find a way to quit killing there self with lung cancer. I am still fighting the battle of alcohol and I am laying on my bed drinking alcohol right now texting you and your Angels for your blessings and your prayers and advice for me to change what I do. I should Go back to work in about 5 hours from now and to be accountable to help my bosses and my coworkers and my customers with our work. Please soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife to help me be a better person and a better husband and a better employee and a better dad to our adult kid's. Please help my son and my daughter with their needs. Thank you again for your help and for the people who have prayed for me on this service. I too pray for everyone else who needs help. Through Christ all good things are possible. Thank you Jesus Christ my lord and Savior and Dear God thank you for not giving up on me. Amen

We hear your cry for help, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your family in prayer. Your honesty about your struggles with alcohol and your concern for your wife and children is a brave first step toward healing. We rejoice that you have overcome the bondage of smoking, and we believe that same victory is possible for alcohol and for your family. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth, and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Psalm 145:18, Ephesians 3:20).

First, we must address the sin of drunkenness and the bondage it brings. Scripture is clear: "Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Alcohol in excess leads to a loss of self-control, broken relationships, and harm to the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Your wife’s drinking is also a concern, as it not only affects her health but sets an example for your children. We must rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name, for it is written, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Lord provides a way out, and we must take it.

We also rebuke the sin of smoking, which defiles the body and leads to sickness. Your concern for your wife and son’s lungs is valid, as Scripture warns, "Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are" (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). The book you read may have helped you quit, but true freedom comes from the Lord. We encourage you to seek His strength daily, for "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Your desire to be a better husband, father, and employee is commendable. The Lord calls us to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age (Titus 2:12). Accountability is key, and we encourage you to seek out a biblical, Christ-centered support group or counselor who can walk with you in this battle. Confess your struggles to trusted believers, for "confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16).

For your wife, we pray that the Lord would soften her heart and convict her of the need to turn from alcohol and smoking. Pray for her daily, and set an example of godly living. "Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, that even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word" (1 Peter 3:1). Your children also need your prayers and your example. Encourage them to seek the Lord and turn from habits that harm their bodies.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your mercy, grace, and healing. Lord, we rebuke the spirits of addiction, drunkenness, and bondage that have taken hold of their lives. We declare freedom in Jesus’ name, for "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Father, we ask that You break the chains of alcohol in this man’s life and in his wife’s life. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek help. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth and to walk in Your ways. Lord, we pray for their children, that they would turn from smoking and any other harmful habits. Protect their lungs and their bodies, which are Your temples.

We ask that You restore this marriage and this family. Help this man to be the husband and father You have called him to be. Give him the courage to be accountable and to seek godly counsel. Lord, we pray for his workplace, that his bosses, coworkers, and customers would see Christ in him and be drawn to You.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness, even when we are unfaithful. We thank You that You never give up on us. We ask that You fill this family with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in righteousness and holiness all the days of their lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps toward freedom. Begin each day with prayer and Scripture, asking the Lord to fill you with His Spirit. Seek out a local church or Christian support group where you can find accountability and encouragement. Remember, "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are not fighting this battle alone, the Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer. Keep pressing into Him, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We hear the heavy load you’re carrying tonight, and we’re grateful you reached out even in the thick of it. You already know a powerful truth: you quit cigarettes, a pack a day for ten years, by reading a book and leaning on God’s help. That same strength is not gone, it’s a real memory of what change can look like.

What you’re feeling right now, the longing to be a better husband, dad, and employee while a drink is still in your hand, shows that God hasn’t given up on you. We’ve learned that addiction often promises a quick escape from pressure or pain but ends up taking control and leaving long-term damage. You’re naming the very things that matter most to you, and that’s a sign of something deeper stirring.

So we want to ask you a simple thing: if there’s anything left in that glass or can beside you, pour it out right now. Not as a magic fix, but as one honest act that lines up with what you’re asking for. Then, when you’re steady, consider reaching out to a local AA group or a Christian recovery ministry. You don’t need to fight this battle alone, and a community that understands can make a huge difference.

You mentioned your wife and son coughing and possible lung trouble. Please gently encourage them to see a doctor. You remember how scary it was waking up at 3 a.m. to cough up phlegm, having a professional check things early is wise, not a sign of weak faith.

Lord Jesus, you see this man right now, his exhaustion, his honesty, his hope. Give him the strength to set the drink down tonight and to walk into work tomorrow rested and sober. Break the grip of alcohol in his life, just as you freed him from cigarettes. Soften the hearts of his wife, his bosses, and his coworkers; surround him with grace instead of friction. Watch over his wife and son, if their lungs are suffering, guide them to good medical care and bring healing. Meet his daughter’s needs in the ways you know best. Thank you for not giving up on any of us. In your name, we pray. Amen.

🙏 LORD'S PRAYER... "Therefore, pray after this manner, 'Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come & will be done, On earth as it is in heaven, Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one' Matt 6:9-13, in Jesus' Name.

🙏 SALVATION OF FAMILY: DAD, STEPMOM, WIFE, CHILDREN, SIBLINGS, THEIR FAMILIES & WE UNDERSTAND & LOVE YOUR LOVE, YOUR WORD & WALK IN YOUR WAYS... Heavenly Father, We ask You give our families: Dads, Moms, Step-moms, Wife, child, children, sisters, brothers, etc understanding of Your will through Your Word, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160; "From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Help us have godly conversations with our family and friends. Soften our hearts and protect us from evil, and help us use our "Bible Apps" or read our Bibles and understand what it says enough to model it and teach it to others in Jesus' Name. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep them from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your Word is truth," John 17:17. 🙌🏼 Thank you in Jesus' Name.

🙏 We CRY OUT for WISDOM, LIFT MY VOICE for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:3-4, Prov 2:5-6, Prov 2:7-8, Prov 2:9-10, Prov 2:11-12; Prov 2:16-17. We seek Angelic Protection, Ps 91:9-10, Ps 91:11-12, Ps 91:13-14, Ps 91:15-16.

🙏 FINANCES & PERSEVERANCE... Please pray we continue to go forward. Asking grace for continued support, setting up a non-profit ministry and have video time with our sons and daughters. That we understand and embody the Scriptures, Lk 24:45, 1 Pet 2:2, always pray and not loose heart, Lk 18:1, and pray for everyone all the time and especially for ministers that the Gospel goes forth as it should, humbly yet confidently, Eph 6:18-20. We need an operation on a left shoulder and later, our right. Healing of shoulder, back and a gym membership, stretching, Tai-chi, biking, swimming, water sports. That we go to gym and continue to endure, get on a schedule, meet pressing needs, Tit 3:14, etc. Thank you, in IJN...

🙏 LOCAL REGION... We also pray for God's power & protection over our local areas, "But seek the welfare of the city where I have removed you, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare, peace and prosperity you will find yours as well," Jer 29:7. May The Holy Spirit convict our neighbors, the local students, teachers, husbands, wives, the workers that come and go, the fishermen, baseball, International Futball (soccer), American football, basketball players, parents, pastors, law enforcement and local leaders -- convict us all of righteousness, sin and judgement to come, John 16:8. Father, draw us to Your Son, John 6:44. Graciously grant us the repentance that leads to life, Acts 11:17, and godly sorrow which brings repentance that leads to salvation, 2 Cor 7:9-11. Give saving faith in Jesus as a gift, Eph 2:8-9, by hearing the Word about believing on God's only begotten Son, John 3:16, and may faith come by hearing the word, Rom 10:17. Let us hear about Jesus Christ crucified, 1 Cor 2:2, who was made sin on our behalf, that we may be made the righteousness of God in Christ, 2 Cor 5:21. Grant a wall of fire around our area, protecting it from harm & evil influences, Zechariah 2:5, Ps 91:10-11, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:2-3. 🙌🏼 Thank you in Jesus' Name.

The cry of your heart has come before the throne, and the groanings of your spirit are not hidden from Him who hears the needy when they call. You lie upon your bed with the bottle in your hand, but you are not beyond the reach of that mighty Deliverer who snatches sinners from the pit! The Lord has chastened you sorely, yet He has not given you over unto death. The cough that racked your lungs in the watches of the night, the chains of smoke that once held you, these He broke by the still small voice of a printed page, that you might know deliverance is of the Lord alone. And now this deeper captivity of the soul, this thirst that mocks itself with every draught, shall He who freed you from one bondage fail to rescue you from the other?

Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of it. You have tasted something of this truth, for no mere book, no mere resolve, could loose the grip of that ten-year habit; it was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. Now He calls you to look unto Him for a yet greater salvation. The pit of alcohol is deep and its fumes are stupefying, but God has found a ransom! He says, “Deliver him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom.” That ransom is Christ, a gift of Divine Love, provided not for the respectable but for the wretched, for those whose own will is shattered and whose strength is dried up. Lie no longer there drinking, as if the poison could ease the pain it causes. Cast yourself wholly upon Him who breaks the chains of darkness.

You speak of rising in a few hours to labor, and you ask that hearts be softened. Yet know this: the Lord’s chastening is a Father’s rod, and the hardness of men’s hearts is often allowed to drive us back to His own bosom. Would you have your wife, your employers, your customers, be gentle with you? Then seek first the victory which makes a man gentle himself. You cannot be the husband and father you long to be while the enemy holds you captive. But is anything too hard for the Lord? He can strengthen a weak one in a moment, raising you from bed to battle, from lukewarmness to holy ardor. You say, “I am still fighting.” Yet hear the voice of scripture: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” The battle is not won by your flailing arms but by the pierced hand that took hold of you.

Once you were delivered from the smoking, and you told others of the book. Now, when the Lord shall loose these alcohol bands, go and declare His works with far greater boldness! Tell how Christ saved you from yourself, from the delirium of drink, from the power of darkness. But do not think to climb out of the pit while you cling to its crumbling sides. Flee to the Ransom! Rise now, pour out the accursed thing, and cry to Him who hears. Pray for your family yes, but let your first prayer be, “Lord, deliver me from myself, for I cannot escape by my own power.” Go to your work sober, accountable, leaning not on your own resolve but on the arm which parted the Red Sea. The Lord has given commandment to save you, and He will do it, not by halves, but wholly, delivering you from the guilt and the fascination of sin. Trust Him, and then shall you say with the Psalmist, “The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over to death. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
