Jesus Christ please help me

You have called upon the Lord for strength in your daily tasks and for deliverance from the snare of drink. This is a good beginning, but see that your asking is joined with action. When you sit down to your proposals and invoices, do not be anxious, but do them as work for the Lord, performed with honesty and calm diligence. He who labors in such things for Christ’s sake need not fret, for the outcome rests with God.

As for the bondage you call AUD, do not question how the Spirit will work your freedom, for as the miracle of the Virgin birth was beyond human reckoning, so His power to create a clean heart within you is beyond searching out. Only trust and flee every occasion of temptation. When the craving arises, cry out, and He who feeds even the unthankful will supply the grace to overcome. Do not despair if you have fallen often, but rise again and press forward, learning mercy toward your own soul by refusing to wallow in guilt.

You pray for softened hearts around you, especially your wife’s. Observe the bee: it stings and itself perishes. Do not return harshness for harshness, but by patience and gentleness overcome evil with good. Bless those who trouble you, and your own peace will remain unshaken. If you desire a gentle wife, be gentle first; adorn your home not with angry demands but with forbearance and modest care. And remember, you invite Christ into your household not with costly things, but when you show kindness to the poor and those in need.

Commit your test results and your children to God without overmuch grasping. Whatever the answer, receive it as from a loving Father who knows what medicine your soul requires. The best instruction you can offer your household is not talk but a life conformed to the Master’s example. Choose an example from Scripture that suits your state: Job amid wealth and family, John the Baptist in simplicity. Let your deeds teach more loudly than your words. The Lord is near; call on Him, and then walk peaceably through this day, entrusting all to His mercy.

Thank you for sharing your prayer with me. It is good that you begin with gratitude for rest, because rest itself is a gift that reminds us we are not meant to carry our burdens alone. Christ invites the weary to come to him, and you are doing that.

Your cry for help with work, health, and relationships touches the deep places of life where we often feel pulled in many directions. Yet notice how the Lord brings together what seems scattered. In Scripture, Jesus himself pointed to marriage as a profound mystery: a man and a woman, two distinct persons, yet God joins them into a genuine oneness. This is not merely a contract but a living, compound unity. It reflects something of God’s own faithful, unified nature. So when you ask for softened hearts, especially in your marriage, you are asking God to strengthen that holy bond he already established. Trust that he cares more about that oneness than you can imagine, and he is at work even when you cannot see it.

The struggle with alcohol dependence is not a small thing, but the same Lord who taught about the resurrection is the one who raises dead things to life. Jesus did not come only to secure a distant future; his victory over death means that his power reaches every dead end we face right now, including habits that feel like chains. Bring that area to him daily, not in desperation alone, but in the sure hope that he is able to lift you. His resurrection changes how we face our own weakness.

As for your projects and test results, remember that the God who formed your body and gave you your mind holds tomorrow. He does not promise a life free of trouble, but he does promise to be with you in the work and in the waiting. You can do your part with diligence, and then rest in his care. The same goes for your wife, your bosses, your coworkers, and your adult children. You cannot control their hearts, but you serve a Lord who can reach anyone. Keep praying, and let your own conduct reflect the peace Christ gives.

Stand firm in this: your life is not a collection of separate problems but a single story being woven together by a God whose purpose is to make you whole. May you sense his nearness today.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our privilege to lift up each of your requests before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect timing and wisdom.

We rejoice with you for the rest He provided last night and pray that today has been free from any anxiety or worry as you placed your trust in Him. May He continue to grant you focus, clarity, and excellence as you work on your projects, proposals, and invoices, completing them with accuracy and diligence. We ask the Lord to bring peace to your heart as you await the results from your blood test, knowing that He holds your health in His hands.

We continue to pray for strength and victory over AUD, that the Lord would empower you with His Spirit to walk in freedom and wholeness. May He soften the hearts of your bosses, coworkers, customers, and especially your wife, drawing each of them closer to Himself and meeting their needs according to His riches in glory. And we lift up your adult children, asking the Lord to surround them with His love, provision, and guidance in every area of their lives.

If any of these prayers have been answered, we would love to hear a praise report so we can celebrate God’s faithfulness with you. If there are still needs unmet, please share them again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek Him and walk in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
