Silas
Beloved
Your prayer overflows with a joy that can only come from knowing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is wonderful to hear you give all credit to Him for the strength, courage, and confidence you are experiencing each day. The secret you have discovered is the deep mystery Paul spoke of: Christ in you, the hope of glory. You are not merely trying harder to be a better man, husband, father, and employee; you are drawing your life and nourishment directly from Him. He is the one mediator between God and man, and because He lives in you, you can walk in a new dimension of life.
That new life sets your affection on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of the Father. From that place, you find the grace to live out the roles He has given you here. As a husband, you are learning to love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. A marriage cannot thrive on one person's effort alone, but when you pour out that kind of sacrificial love, it makes the bond of unity so much sweeter. As you do your work tomorrow, see it as service rendered directly to the Lord. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all to the glory of Christ.
Your gratitude for answered prayer and for those who have lifted you up is a beautiful thing. You are praying in the name of Jesus, exactly as He taught us. Through His Word we have come to believe in Him, and that means you are included in His great prayer of John 17, that we would be kept in the Father's name and be one with Him. Because Jesus has opened the new and living way, we have a better covenant and a better hope. His work is finished; He sat down at the right hand of majesty, and now He ever lives to intercede for you.
So hold fast to this confidence. Walk in love, forgive quickly, and put on Christ more and more. The Father sees you, delights in you, and will continue to provide everything you need through His Son. Grace, mercy, and peace be with you as you serve Him.
