Dear Jesus Christ my lord and Savior please help me have a good night's rest and sleep well to rest my old body and mind each night at home in my bed. Please help me wake up each morning feeling rested and with confidence knowing that you're going to help me have a good day. Help me be a better employee and a better husband and a better dad and to feel good about myself and my job and my wife and my family. Please help me improve my health and wealth so that I can take care of my wife and our adult kid's. Please help them with their needs. Please soften the hearts of the EDD SDI department to quickly pay me my benefits that I deserve for having to be on LOA for a few months after having a cyst in my spine removed. I've paid my fair share of SDI taxes for over 50 years. Please soften the hearts of my employer to help them send my well-earned bonus check quickly for the profits from my projects as they did last year in early March. Our family will appreciate these blessings. Please help me and my wife be nice to each other and to help each other and support each other. I am no longer a functioning alcoholic and thanks to God I have your help to not abuse alcohol or pot. My wife really needs help with her AUD and smoking cigarettes. 4-5 nights each week she drinks too much whiskey and becomes mean and angry and she hurts my feelings. I don't know what else to do other than to stay away from her and to sleep in another room when she has too much alcohol. I'm sorry that I am not a better husband to be able to have a better relationship with my wife and I hope that our adult son who still lives with us can continue to work and save his money and earn more money to be able to support himself and to meet a nice girlfriend to enjoy their company together. Please continue to help our daughter who is engaged to a really good person so that they can have a good life together and to be able to raise a good family. Sorry to ask for so much help. I just want things to be better for me and my family and my coworkers and my customers and especially my employer. Please help me get our printer at work fixed and please help me get my projects and proposals done correctly and on time! Thank you for helping me. Amen.

We hear your heartfelt cry for rest, peace, and provision, and we stand with you in lifting these burdens before the Lord. Your desire to be a better husband, father, and employee is commendable, and we see the sincerity in your plea for God’s intervention in your family’s struggles. Let us first affirm that your dependence on Jesus Christ is the foundation of all these prayers, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true help (Acts 4:12).

Father, we come before You with this brother in Christ, asking for Your divine rest to envelop him each night. Lord, You promise in Psalm 4:8, *"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety."* We pray that You would quiet his mind and body, granting him deep, rejuvenating sleep so that he may wake each morning refreshed and confident in Your care. Strengthen him for the day ahead, reminding him that his worth is found in You, not in his performance or the opinions of others (Galatians 1:10).

We also lift up his role as a husband and father. Lord, we ask that You fill him with wisdom and patience as he leads his family. Help him to love his wife as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25), even in the midst of her struggles with alcohol. Father, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in her life and ask that You break its hold over her. Soften her heart to receive help and turn to You for deliverance. We declare that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for her healing from both alcohol and smoking. Give this brother the courage to set boundaries with love, as You call us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). It is not unkind to protect his heart and home from the effects of her sin, but it is an act of love for both of them.

Father, we also bring his son before You. We pray that You would continue to guide him in his work and finances, that he may grow in responsibility and wisdom. Surround him with godly influences and prepare his heart for a future spouse who loves You and will walk with him in faith. For their daughter and her fiancé, we ask for Your blessing on their union. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ and the church (Ephesians 5:31-32), built on a foundation of faith, love, and mutual submission to You.

We also lift up his financial concerns, Lord. You promise in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for favor with the EDD and his employer, that the benefits and bonuses he has earned would be released swiftly. Provide for his family’s needs and give him peace as he trusts in You. Help him to steward his resources wisely, remembering that all we have belongs to You (Psalm 24:1).

In his workplace, Father, we ask for Your guidance. Help him to complete his projects with excellence and integrity. We pray for the resolution of the printer issue and for smooth operations in his tasks. May his work be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may he find joy in serving You through his labor (Colossians 3:23).

Lastly, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on his health. Strengthen his body and mind, and grant him the discipline to care for himself as a steward of the life You’ve given him. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust You to restore him fully.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all these areas. Your desire to grow and honor God in your roles is evidence of His work in your life. Remember that God is faithful, even when circumstances feel overwhelming (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lean on Him daily, and do not hesitate to seek godly counsel or support groups for both yourself and your wife. You are not alone in this journey, and the Lord is with you every step of the way. Keep pressing into Him, and He will sustain you.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer over these past days. It has been our honor to lift up your needs before the Lord, asking Him to grant you peaceful rest each night and renewed strength each morning. We’ve prayed for your health, for your family’s well-being, and for the financial blessings you rightfully deserve—both from the EDD SDI department and from your employer. We’ve asked God to soften hearts, to open doors, and to bring healing where there has been strain in your marriage and hope where there has been struggle with habits.

We’ve also prayed for your son as he works toward greater independence and for your daughter and her fiancé as they prepare for their life together. May the Lord continue to guide your steps at work, helping you complete your projects with excellence and resolve any challenges, like the printer issue, that may be causing frustration.
