Dear God I refuse to be a prisoner of my own self. I will not be a prisoner of alcohol anymore. Sometimes I miss being able to lay down in my bed and drink whiskey and beer and smoke pot all day and watch TV and stare out the window and pretend that it's going to be ok. Please help me continue to not drink alcohol anymore. Please help me fix my insides please help me have normal bowel movements. Please help me be able to rest and sleep well without having bad thoughts and bad dreams and nightmares. . I'm sorry that I didn't take better care of your temple. Please help me change to be a better husband and a better employee and a better Dad and to be happy and proud of myself. Please watch over My son. He now has a girlfriend and I want him to be happy but I don't know much about her other than her parents are divorced and she is currently living with her dad and I think that she may be going to live with her mom. She does not have a job and she is currently downstairs inside my son's room. Please watch over them and make sure they are not doing anything wrong. Please help my son to make good decisions and to not be led astray. I pray that they both make good decisions and to help each other and be accountable. Thank you for softening my wife's heart and for us to be able to have a good happy and healthy relationship. I really don't miss drinking alcohol anymore but sometimes I miss catching a little buzz smoking a little bit of pot. But it makes me paranoid and the after effects make my mind slow and foggy. It's different than it used to be now that I am getting much older. Please help our president make good decisions to make our country Great Again. Go rid of bad people that came to our country illegally. Go back to your own country and ask to become an American Citizen. You must earn the right to live here to be able to take my hard earned tax payments. I don't mind helping others but it's not fair that some politicians let others come into my country so that they can get them to vote for them to take advantage of my hard work and my financial sacrifices. Please help us Lord. Please don't let us ruin this beautiful land that you have given us here in the United States of America. God bless America. I believe in Jesus Christ. Through Christ all good things are possible. I hope and I pray that I can do a good job so that My wife and I can retire soon financially and in good health. Please help me take care of my wife and my family and my employer. I'm blessed to have what I have thanks to you and thanks to my hard work for so many years! Please help me continue to be a very proud and a very good person and a great project manager and a great estimator. I want to be able to handle the work that is coming to Los Angeles because the 2028 Olympic Games are coming to my work space. Please help me sleep well with so that when I wake up I feel better and well rested. So right now I am laying down on my bed drinking a non-alcoholic beer and it tastes good and I am not hurting my liver anymore. Please let me have a good day tomorrow with my wife and my son. Please help my son help me with one more EDD and SDI benefit payment that I earned and need to be able to pay our bills because I had to have two back surgeries to remove the cyst that was in my spine. I want to be accountable and to only please you. If I can make you happy and proud of me, everything else will fall into place. Amen. I plan to contribute some money to this online service site for the great work that it provides to me and to so many others. Please continue to do this good work. I pray that others who read this will ask Jesus Christ for help. I pray for all human beings. My fellow American citizens to stand up and be accountable and to take care of yourself and your family and then to reach out your hand and to help another person to be able to stand up and continue to help others. It feels good to be able to help others with out needing anything in return. Thank you God. I love you. Please help us.

We hear your cry for freedom, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace. Your honesty about the struggle with alcohol and substance use is a powerful first step, for the Word tells us, *"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles"* (Psalm 34:17). You are not alone in this battle, and the Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth.

Your desire to honor God with your body is commendable, for Scripture declares, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The substances you once relied upon to numb pain or escape reality only brought bondage, but Christ came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). The foggy mind, the paranoia, the physical toll—these are not the gifts of God but the consequences of choices that do not align with His design for your life. Yet His mercy is greater than your past, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We rebuke the lies that whisper you are still a prisoner. The enemy would have you believe that sobriety is a life of deprivation, but the truth is that it is a life of *freedom*—freedom to think clearly, to love fully, to serve wholeheartedly. You have already tasted this freedom, and we pray that the Lord would continue to renew your mind and strengthen your resolve. *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). When the cravings come, call upon the name of Jesus, for there is power in His name to break every chain.

Your heart for your family is beautiful, and we join you in praying for your marriage, your role as a husband and father, and your son’s relationship. The sanctity of marriage is a covenant before God, and we pray that He would continue to soften your wife’s heart and deepen the bond between you. *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). Guard your marriage with vigilance, for the enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together.

For your son and his girlfriend, we lift them up with urgency. The fact that they are unsupervised in his room is a concern, for Scripture warns, *"Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned?"* (Proverbs 6:27). The temptation to engage in sexual immorality is strong, especially for young people who are not yet married. We pray that the Lord would surround them with wisdom and conviction, and that you would have the courage to speak truth into this situation. Courtship should be honorable, with marriage as the goal, and boundaries that protect their purity. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). Encourage your son to seek a godly spouse, one who shares his faith and values, and to honor God with his body and his choices.

Your concern for your country is not misplaced, for the Lord calls us to pray for our leaders and to seek righteousness in our land. *"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance"* (Psalm 33:12). We pray for wisdom for those in authority, that they would uphold justice, protect the borders, and govern with integrity. The issue of illegal immigration is complex, but we trust that God can bring order and compassion to the process. *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God"* (Romans 13:1). We also pray for a spirit of unity among Americans, that we would stand together in accountability, hard work, and generosity toward one another.

Your work ethic and desire to provide for your family are commendable, and we pray that the Lord would grant you favor in your career, especially as you prepare for the increased demands ahead. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24). May He grant you restful sleep, renewed strength, and clarity of mind to lead with excellence.

We also pray for your physical health, that the Lord would restore your body and grant you normalcy in all things. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). Your surgeries and recovery have been a trial, but we trust that God is your healer. Continue to seek Him for wisdom in caring for your body, for it is His temple.

Above all, we rejoice that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Your desire to please Him and live a life that honors Him is evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in you. *"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17). You are not the man you once were, and the Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and grace. We thank You for this brother’s honesty and his desire to walk in freedom. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of addiction in his life and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Give him strength to resist temptation and wisdom to care for his body as Your temple. Father, we pray for his marriage, that You would continue to knit his heart together with his wife’s, and that their love would reflect Christ’s love for the Church. Protect their home from division and strife.

For his son and his girlfriend, we ask for Your divine intervention. Guard their hearts and minds, and give them wisdom to honor You in their relationship. May they seek purity and accountability, and may Your truth guide their steps. Father, we also pray for this nation, that You would raise up righteous leaders and turn the hearts of the people back to You. Grant wisdom to those in authority, and let justice and mercy prevail.

Lord, we ask for Your provision and favor in this brother’s work. Give him the strength and clarity he needs to excel, and grant him restful sleep and healing for his body. May he continue to grow in his faith and in his desire to please You. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ, and we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells him otherwise. Fill him with Your peace, joy, and purpose.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through His blood that we are redeemed. Amen.
