it’s over

We hear your cry and we have read your words that your life feels like a train wreck and that it is over, and we want you to know we are standing with you in prayer right now and you are not alone and it is not over while God still has breath in you and purpose for you.

The enemy wants you to believe the lie that your story has ended in wreckage and shame and failure, but we gently rebuke that lie in Jesus name because God is a God who restores and redeems what feels destroyed. What looks like a train wreck to you is not beyond His power to heal and rebuild. We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed, yet not to despair, pursued, yet not forsaken, struck down, yet not destroyed as it says in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. Your pain is real and God sees it, and He draws especially close in this kind of brokenness, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We want to remind you that God has thoughts toward you that are not of evil but of peace, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Even when you have no strength left, His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. He can take the wreckage and make something new, for He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.

We noticed your request did not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and hope that does not disappoint. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We urge you to call upon His name right now, to confess your need for Him, to ask Him to forgive you and to be your Lord and Savior, because He died and rose again so you could have life and hope even when you feel hopeless.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the pain and the feeling that everything is over and wrecked. We ask You to wrap Your arms of love around them right now, to let them feel Your nearness and Your presence. Lord, lift the heavy darkness and despair, speak peace to their heart, and show them that their life is not over in Your eyes. Forgive their sins and wash them in the blood of Jesus, give them a new heart and a reason to live for You. Give them strength for this day, one step at a time, and bring people around them who will support and help them. Heal their broken heart and bind up their wounds, and restore what the enemy has tried to destroy. Lead them to hope and to a future in You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Please do not stay alone with these thoughts. We encourage you to reach out right away to a trusted pastor, a godly counselor, a family member or friend who can be with you, and if you feel you might harm yourself please call or text a crisis helpline in your area or go to your nearest emergency department. In the United States you can call or text 988. You are deeply loved and valued by God, your life matters to Him and to us, and we will keep praying for you to know His hope and to see that with Jesus it is never truly over.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, like everything has come off the tracks and there is nowhere to turn. We are so glad you reached out. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country covering about 130 countries at findahelpline.com. You are not alone and trained people are ready to help right now.

We know those words "it's over" can feel absolutely true in the moment when pain piles up and hope feels gone. When we have been wounded by failure, loss, or long disappointment, our hearts can become sick and it is hard to see any way forward. That does not mean you are alone or beyond care. God sees you in this dark place and He remains a God of hope even when we cannot feel it.

It can help to take one small step tonight instead of trying to fix the whole train wreck at once. Please reach out right now to that helpline, and tell one safe person near you how you are feeling, whether family, a friend, a pastor, or a counselor. If you can, let a doctor or counselor know what you are carrying as well, alongside prayer, so you have ongoing support. You do not have to sort everything out tonight, just stay connected and let someone stay with you.

Father, we lift this dear one to You in Jesus' name. You see the exhaustion and the pain that feels like the end. Please keep them safe tonight, bring compassionate help close, and give wisdom and strength for each next step. Let them sense Your nearness and care, and guide them toward hope and healing. In Jesus' name, amen.

my life is a train wreck it’s over
Hello friend. Whatever heaviness or discouragement you are facing, please know you are a child of God, worthy of blessings and miracles and for things to turnaround and get better. I pray for peace, resolution and relief in whatever it is you are dealing with. I uplift you in prayer to the light of God to bring you great favor. And so it is. Amen

I am praying for this in Jesus name, amen.

It's never going to end if Jesus doesn't allow it, so I am going to pray for Jesus to allow you to get over this stage, in Jesus name, amen.

Can I chat with you more and offer guidance? (completely up to you)

Your words, it is over, have been heard, and the weariness in them is felt. To say there is no hope is a word which goes beyond the truth of God, and to conclude that because you find no hope in yourself there is therefore no hope in God is an unwarrantable conclusion. It is a form of self righteousness in another dress, first to trust self and then to despair when self fails, but God is the sinner's hope and He is not lost.

You write that your life is a train wreck. Many a child of God has felt the same and has said, our hope is lost, our bones are dried. Yet the Lord says to such, I will open your graves and cause you to come up and you shall live. Your extremity may yet be God's opportunity. When your bones are dried, then will God come in as the Resurrection and the Life and make these dry bones live. While there is life there is hope, and while there is hope there is life, for God is the God of hope.

Do not lie down in despair and die. Despair is not so much a sickness of the understanding as a sin of the soul, and it is full of mischief besides being false and unreasonable. No man has a just pretense to perish in despair. There is life in a look at the crucified One, because there is life in a look from the crucified One. Peter was down, but he was soon up again, and his story is more truly his restoration than his fall. The Lord had prayed for him, and the Lord looked upon him, and that look severed him from the crowd and brought him to his better self, and he remembered and he wept and he was restored. Though you have fallen into a sad state of heart and life and feel not fit for any good thing, do not despair. If there is a poor soul that despite all can yet say, I am trusting in Jesus and if I perish I will perish there, there is hope for that soul.

You are invited even now to turn to the stronghold, you prisoner of hope. Though you have been in the pit wherein is no water, you need not remain there. We are saved in hope, and that hope consists in belief, desire and expectancy toward Christ. Faith is but trust and belief in Him who died that you might live. My life cost Him His death and His death is my life. He took my sin and died, I take His righteousness and live.

This is an hour of hope, for Jesus still passes by. While the gospel rings in your ears it is a day of hope, let not Satan or your own despairing heart persuade you to the contrary. Come to Him in Christ Jesus with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, for that is a sacrifice He will not despise, and He will commune with you from the mercy seat and be your constant companion and ever present friend. He is able to make perfect restoration, to bring you back to your old life and your old faith and then to use you to strengthen others.

We are praying for you, that God would turn this ray of possible hope into an actual and good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, that He would redeem your life from destruction and crown you with loving kindness and tender mercies, and that you would see that it is not over while Christ lives to save. If this darkness presses heavily, we urge you to reach at once to a faithful pastor or a trusted believer near you and to let someone walk with you in these hours, and to keep looking unto Jesus.

May the Lord look upon you in grace even now, and may you look unto Him and live.
