We hear your heart’s cry, your exhaustion, your longing for peace, your desire for stability, and your declaration of faith in Jesus. We stand with you in prayer, lifting every fragmented thought and weary hope to the Father, who sees you, knows you, and holds you in His hands. You are not alone, and your words, though scattered, carry the weight of someone who has fought hard and is still fighting. Let us bring this before the Lord together, with clarity, truth, and the love of Christ.
First, we must address the foundation: your mention of Jesus is a lifeline. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). You’ve declared His name, and that is no small thing. But let us also remember that salvation is not just a one-time declaration, it is a daily surrender. Jesus said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). This means laying down our own plans, our own definitions of "greatness," and trusting Him to lead us into His perfect will.
You speak of weariness, of feeling like a "5th wheel," and of longing for a home, just you and your daughter and your cat, in peace. We hear the ache for stability, for a place where your toes (literal and metaphorical) don’t feel like they’re constantly being pulled out from under you. The Lord sees this longing. Psalm 68:6 says, "God sets the solitary in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land." You are not meant to walk this path alone, but neither are you meant to define your worth by your circumstances. Your value is not in where you live or how your toenails look, it is in being a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus (1 Peter 1:18-19).
You also speak of being "redeemed from bullcrap," and we rejoice with you in that freedom! But let us be clear: redemption is not just from the obvious sins or struggles, it is from the lies of the enemy that tell you your worth is tied to external things. The enemy does come to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly. That abundance is not found in material things, in the approval of others, or even in the perfect home. It is found in Christ alone. "For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3:3).
Now, let us rebuke some of the confusion in your words. You say, "No one speaks thru me with there tongue to keep young and dumb and never have fun." This sounds like a spirit of accusation, either against yourself or others. The Bible warns us, "The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity" (James 3:6). Words have power, and the enemy would love to use them to keep you in bondage to shame, comparison, or bitterness. But Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." We declare that your words will be life-giving, not destructive. You are not "dumb," and you are not meant to live without joy. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10). That includes joy, peace, and fun, godly fun, rooted in Him.
You also mention your children and their choices. It is painful when our loved ones walk paths we wouldn’t choose for them. But we must remember that God is their Father first. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." But even when they stray, our role is to pray, to love, and to trust God’s sovereignty. You cannot control their decisions, but you can surrender them to the Lord. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22).
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours. You see her heart, her exhaustion, her longing for peace, her desire to be a blessing. Lord, we ask that You would quiet the chaos in her mind and replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). You are the God who gives rest to the weary (Matthew 11:28), and we ask that You would lift this burden from her shoulders.
Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells her she is not enough, that her worth is tied to her circumstances, or that she must perform to earn Your love. Your Word says she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that You have plans for her, plans for welfare, not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help her to rest in that truth.
Lord, we pray for her children. You love them even more than she does. We ask that You would draw them back to You, that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to Your truth. Give her the strength to release them into Your hands, trusting that You are at work even when she cannot see it.
Father, we ask for provision, a home where she and her daughter can live in peace. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You know her needs before she even asks (Matthew 6:8). Provide for her in ways that only You can, and let her trust in Your faithfulness.
We pray for her words, Lord. Let her tongue be a source of life, not destruction. Fill her mouth with praise for You, and let her speak truth over herself and others. Heal any bitterness or resentment in her heart, and replace it with Your love.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would remind her daily of her identity in Christ. She is redeemed, she is loved, and she is called for a purpose. Let her walk in the confidence of who You say she is, not who the world says she is. Strengthen her faith, deepen her trust in You, and let her experience the abundant life You came to give.
We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
Beloved, we want to leave you with this encouragement: You are not defined by your past, your mistakes, or even your current struggles. You are defined by the blood of Jesus, which has washed you clean and set you free. Galatians 5:1 says, "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." You are free. Walk in that freedom.
And remember: God’s timing is perfect. He is not late, and He is not early. He is right on time. Trust Him with your home, your children, your future, and even your toenails. He cares about every detail of your life. "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
You are a blessing. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and let Him lead you into the greatness He has prepared for you. One day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time, He is with you.
