It's over...

You speak of a firing squad and a loaded gun, of a tornado that will not reverse its course. But you have fixed your eyes on the weapon and the storm, and not on the One who commands both. This is not the courage of despair; it is the blindness of pain. You say God could have acted by now, and because He has not, He never will. But tell me, was He late when He came to Lazarus four days dead, when the stench of the tomb already filled the air? The sisters wept, the mourners scorned, and yet the stone was rolled away. Beloved, you measure His timing by a clock He does not own.

You believe this ending is ordained and deserved, that the alligator’s jaws were meant for you long ago, that your siblings’ hatred is a righteous verdict. But consider what you have just said: “If I was the poison, why didn’t God protect them by letting the gator get me?” You escaped death because His mercy preserved you then for a purpose you cannot yet see. He did not save you from the lake only to abandon you to the ledge. The Evil One whispers that your death will bring justice and relief to others, but his is the voice that calls for sacrifice, not God’s. He who knows the hearts of all does not trade in your calamity, nor does He delight in your ruin.

You say there is no way, that the sum you need is beyond all hope. This, too, you declare with certainty, but you know only the visible world. The widow of Zarephath had only a handful of flour and a little oil, and she had resolved to die. The prophet did not bring bread; he brought a word from the Lord, and the flour did not run out. I do not promise you that a miracle will arrive because I cannot see into the hidden counsels of God. But I can tell you what I know: His power is not diminished, His ear is not heavy, and the darkness is not dark to Him. The silence of your friends and the emptiness of your hands do not bind Him who fed thousands with a few loaves.

Pull back from the ledge, I implore you, not because I can prove what He will do, but because you are not your own executioner. The body you would destroy does not belong to you; it was bought with a price. You call your words a one-way ticket, but it is a ticket to a place where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched. I say this not to crush you further, but because it is the truth that can yet save you from a far greater loss than any bill. You are in the deep waters now, but Christ walked upon them. Cry out to Him, not with a final demand, but with the desperate grasp of a drowning man. His silence is not absence, and His delay is not denial. Do not surrender to the lie that your death is the only conclusion. The Author of life has not yet written the final page.

How can you compare my situation Lazerus? Furthermore, no one beyond Biblical times was brought back to life after being dead for 4 or 3 days except for Lazerus and Jesus. I don't get the connection. The miracles you mentioned from the Bible were in Biblical times and when Jesus was in the earth. These miracles do not happen today. Are you suggesting or even saying that God will perform a miracle by suddenly delivering the money I need? I don't doubt God's power, but I think it's irresponsible to suggest God will do the same for me. He can, but as the biblical caveat always stayed, "...according to His will". There are no resources for these monies to appear. I tried my best; I am who I am; but I can't be who I am not. All the disciples were different people. However, I am not so arrogant to think that I am comparable to any of the disciples. And thanks for the heavy guilt trip towards the end. It's not an execution, it's the only means to stop something that can't be stopped otherwise. So you think one must continue to live in such a tormented and hopeless state? How easy it easy for preachers and such to tell everyone else to forget your suffering and put up with it for the rest of your life no matter what. When all hope is obviously lost, one is sometimes left with no choice but to bench themselves from life. For all the Jews who killed themselves to prevent the tortured of the Germans are guilty of self murder? All the women who killed themselves to prevent being raped and tortured, and maybe even murdered after all that, shouldn't have and should have suffered through all of that I stead?! Why do you think everyone has a divine destiny? Some people do, but others' destiny is what they make, or what just happens to happen, with or without God's help. I'm not saying that God will block one's destiny, it's just that not everyone has a calling. In my earlier years, people thought I had a destiny, but everything I did to achieve my seemingly obvious destiny was ripped out from under me. Everything that brought me joy, nothing was bad, was just taken away out of the blue. But that's another story. Not everyone's destiny is carved in stone. When I was younger, I thought " no big deal, I'll get another chance". Here I am 40 years later wondering what happen to.thr other chances that I believed would come again? Was that destiny? Most of us are here because our parents had babies. But, we do see people around us who do have a calling. Many times you hear people say something like, "They were born for this". That's fine; that's good. God bless them, and I'm sure He did. You see people whom it seems like everything they do turns to gold, as the saying goes. Again, good for them and God bless them. I'm happy for them. In any case, your examples are of a different time long ago in the Bible, NOT stories in current times.

I hear the exhaustion in every word, and I am not going to pretend it isn't real. You have been holding on so long with nothing left, and the silence around you has been deafening. I will not promise you a Hollywood rescue. You are right that no pastor, no person, can hand you a sure script saying God will fix the bills by Friday. That kind of talk has hurt you deeply, and I am sorry for the ways it has been offered as a hollow comfort.

But I see something else in your message, something that goes beyond money and car repairs, and it is the real battle. You said you are empty, brokenhearted, and at total exhaustion. That is not just circumstantial pain; it is a war inside you. And the truth from Scripture is that when you come to the end of every human resource, you are standing exactly where the Spirit of God can do what you cannot. The apostle Paul screamed out, “O wretched man that I am!” because he was powerless against the darkness he felt within. But he did not stay there. He realized deliverance would never come from his own straining or from a sudden change in his surroundings. It came when he cried out for help and let God’s Spirit bring life where there was only death.

You are not an animal driven by instinct, and you are not a body with only a consciousness like the rest of creation. You have a spirit, and right now it feels crushed, but it is the very place where God meets you. If you belong to Jesus, His Spirit is already in you, bearing witness that you are a child of God. That witness is not a feeling of happy circumstances; it is a deep anchor of identity that the enemy wants you to forget. The voice telling you that you deserve ruin, that your siblings are right, that your death would bring vindication, that is not the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit never condemns you to hopelessness. He convicts of sin, yes, but always to draw you toward life, never to push you off the ledge.

I know you feel like the EF5 is at the door and the only way out is to jump. But the real last-minute heroics are not God rewriting the weather; they are God keeping your spirit alive in the middle of the storm. Jesus Himself was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, not out of it. He was filled and empowered not to avoid suffering but to endure it with perfect trust. You do not need a last-second cash miracle to prove God has not abandoned you. You need to know, right now, that His Spirit is the guarantee of an inheritance far greater than any earthly security. That Spirit will not necessarily stop the firing squad, but He will walk with you through the valley of the shadow of death so that you fear no evil.

You mentioned pulling the plug before it is too late. Please, do not use that ticket. That is a permanent answer to a temporary pain, and it would silence the very part of you that can still cry out to God. The fact that you wrote to us, even in anger, shows your spirit is not totally dead; it is screaming for hope. That scream is the Spirit’s groaning within you when you have no words left. Let that groan turn into a surrender, not to death, but to the Spirit’s control. Instead of handing your mind over to the flesh’s despair, lift it up. Walk in the Spirit, even if all you can do is whisper, “I cannot deliver myself. God, help me.” When you do that, you are sowing to the Spirit, and from the Spirit you will reap life and peace, not necessarily a paid invoice, but a peace that passes understanding.

I will not stop praying for you. Not only for your practical needs, though I will bring those to the Father as well, but that you would know the Spirit’s filling right now. You are not alone. The family that rejected you may never understand, but God has placed you into a family where the bond is deeper than blood. Even if you feel utterly isolated, you are joined to Christ and to all who are His. Hold on. Do not let go. The real miracle is not that God sweeps in at the last second to change your story; it is that He was already there, pouring His love into your heart by the Holy Spirit, so that even in the wreckage, you can say, “I am His, and He is mine.” Let that be your anchor tonight.

We are deeply grieved to hear the weight of despair you’ve been carrying, and we want you to know that we have not stopped lifting you up before the Lord. Your pain is real, and your words reflect a heart that has fought long and hard against circumstances that feel insurmountable. We acknowledge the raw honesty in your post—how the silence of others, the absence of resources, and the relentless pressure have left you feeling utterly alone. Please know that you are not unseen, and your struggle has not gone unheard by those of us who continue to intercede on your behalf.

We recognize the frustration in your question: *Why would God wait until the last minute?* It’s a question that echoes the cries of many who have walked through the valley of deep suffering. We don’t claim to have all the answers, nor do we presume to know the mind of God. But we do know this—His timing is not our timing, and His ways are higher than ours. That doesn’t mean He is indifferent to your pain. Scripture tells us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even when the storm rages and the waves threaten to overwhelm, He is there in the boat with you, whether you feel His presence or not.

You’ve expressed that you feel this is the only way out, but we urge you, with everything in us, to hold on. The enemy would love nothing more than to isolate you in your darkest hour, to convince you that your story is over and that no hope remains. But we serve a God who specializes in last-minute rescues—not because He is late, but because He is sovereign. He is the God who parted the Red Sea, who brought water from a rock, who raised Lazarus from the dead after four days. He is not bound by the limits of what we see or the inevitability we feel in our human understanding.

We also want to gently challenge the lie that this is what you *deserve*. The cross of Jesus Christ proves that you are deeply loved, not because of what you’ve done or left undone, but because of who He is. The Father sent His Son to bear the weight of sin and shame so that you would never have to carry it alone. You are not a burden to Him—you are His beloved. And while your siblings may harbor bitterness, God’s heart toward you is one of compassion, not condemnation.

We are praying that the Holy Spirit would surround you with His peace, that He would open a door where there seems to be none, and that He would remind you of His promises even when your circumstances scream otherwise. We are asking Him to provide for your needs in ways that only He can, to soften the hearts of those who have turned away, and to give you the strength to take the next breath, the next step. We are also praying for protection over your mind and spirit—that the lies of the enemy would be silenced by the truth of God’s Word.

If you feel you can, please let us know how we can continue to stand with you in prayer. You are not alone in this. And if you’re unable to reach out, know that we will keep lifting you up, trusting that the God who sees in secret will reward your faith, even when it feels like it’s barely a flicker.

We love you, we are standing with you, and we are believing with you for a breakthrough. May the Lord meet you in your exhaustion, wrap you in His arms, and remind you that your life is precious to Him. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
