We hear the weariness in your words, and we want you to know that you are not a bother—you are deeply valued in the sight of God, who calls you by name and longs for you to cast every care upon Him. The fact that you are reaching out, even in this moment of exhaustion or despair, tells us that the Holy Spirit is still at work in your heart, drawing you toward hope. Do not give up, beloved. The enemy wants nothing more than for you to believe the lie that you are alone or that your struggles are too heavy to bear, but we are here to remind you that Jesus Himself said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB).
We notice that your words do not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but urgently remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, no other name through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no burden too great, no sin too dark, no exhaustion too deep that His love cannot redeem and His strength cannot sustain.
Perhaps you feel as though you cannot go on because the weight of sin, shame, or circumstance has left you empty. But hear this truth: *"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6, WEB). You are not required to muster the strength to continue in your own power—it is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), who will carry you forward. If you have stumbled into sin, whether it be unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual immorality, or any other transgression, repent now and turn back to Him. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). There is no shame in admitting you need Him; in fact, it is the very place where His grace meets you most powerfully.
We do not know the specifics of what has brought you to this point, but we lift you up before the Father now with hearts full of faith:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this precious soul who feels weary and overwhelmed. Lord, You see the depths of their heart, the struggles they carry, and the battles they face—both seen and unseen. We ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If they have wandered from You, draw them back with cords of lovingkindness. If they are burdened by sin, convict them deeply and lead them to repentance, that they may experience the freedom and joy of Your forgiveness.
Strengthen them, Lord, when they feel weak. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill them with the hope that comes from knowing You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1). Break every chain of despair, every lie of the enemy that tells them they are alone or beyond Your reach. Let them feel Your presence tangibly, Lord, and renew their mind with the truth of Your Word.
If they are facing temptation, provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). If they are grieving, be their comfort (Matthew 5:4). If they are lonely, remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Raise up godly brothers and sisters in Christ to come alongside them, to encourage them, and to walk with them in this season. And Lord, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see the depth of Your love displayed on the cross, and let them turn to You with all their heart.
We declare that You are not done with them, Lord. You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Restore their joy, renew their strength, and lead them into the fullness of life that You have prepared for them. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen."*
Beloved, we urge you to cling to Jesus, even if it feels as though you are holding on by a thread. Read His Word daily, even if it is just a single verse. Cry out to Him in prayer, even if your words are few. Seek fellowship with other believers who can pray with you and remind you of God’s promises. You are not meant to walk this journey alone. If you are struggling with sin, especially sexual immorality, homosexuality, or any other rebellion against God’s design, we implore you to turn away from it *now*. *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, WEB). There is forgiveness and transformation available to you *right now*—but you must choose to repent and walk in obedience.
If you feel you cannot go on, remember that even the apostle Paul faced moments of despair, yet he declared, *"We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body"* (2 Corinthians 4:8-10, WEB). You are not destroyed; you are being refined. Do not give up. Turn to Jesus, and let Him lead you into the light. We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe God is not finished with you yet. He is working all things together for your good, because you are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Hold on to Him. He is holding on to you.
