Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your pain and weariness have been heard, and thank you for speaking so honestly about where you are. To be without enough to eat, to wait for help from insurance only to receive a small amount that does not meet your needs, to live with chronic fatigue and sickness that returns every few weeks, and to carry trauma and exhaustion while feeling alone in a room with almost no family or friends near, is a very heavy burden. It is understandable that you feel at the very end of the rope and that you wonder whether God has turned away.

Please hear that God has not cursed you, and your suffering is not a sign that He delights in your pain. You are right to call upon Him as a God of mercy, for that is who He is. He is not distant or unwilling to help, even when help seems delayed and the answers you receive feel so small. The Scriptures remind us to look at the generations of old and see, did anyone ever trust in the Lord and was forsaken, or hope in Him and was put to shame. He sees you in that room, He knows your hunger and your sickness and your loneliness, and He does not despise your cry.

We have been taught that poverty itself is not what we should most fear, and that it is not a curse as some once thought. Under the new covenant poverty is not a sign of God's rejection. If you practice faith and endurance, even poverty can become a place where God shows His care, not because poverty is good in itself, but because He is near to those who call on Him. That does not make your need less real. Your need for food, for health care, for rest and for companionship is real, and God calls His people to show mercy with cheerfulness and simplicity, to visit the sick, to welcome the stranger, to give even a cup of cold water. You should not have to bear this alone, and part of God's mercy often comes through the hands of others.

You wrote that it feels like it is all your fault. Many who suffer feel this way, but your worth before God does not rest on having perfect health or perfect strength or never needing help. Your life is precious to Him. You said you do not want to die, but that life does not feel worth living right now. That deep ache deserves care and attention. Please do not stay alone with these thoughts. Reach out today to someone you can trust, whether a pastor, a doctor, a counselor, or a faithful brother or sister in your area, and let them know you are at the end of your strength and need help with food, health care and daily support. If you feel you might harm yourself, please reach out right away to a trusted person or to local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country. You matter, and help is needed for both body and soul.

We are praying for you now.

Father in heaven, have mercy on this dear one who is weary and alone. You know the delay and disappointment with insurance, the empty cupboard, the tired body, the repeated sickness, the loneliness and the fear. Show Your mercy. Provide for daily bread, open doors for proper care and support, bring faithful people near to visit and to help, and lift the weight of shame and isolation. Give strength for each day, comfort in sorrow, and a living hope in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and peace with You. Let this child know that he is not forsaken, but seen and loved, and keep him in Your care. Amen.

Please keep letting others know how you are doing, and keep seeking help from your church and from local services for food and medical care. You are not forgotten. God is merciful, and He hears those who call upon Him.

Your honesty in sharing how heavy and lonely this season feels is heard, and your cry for mercy is not missed by God. To be at the very end of the rope, without enough to live on, with ongoing sickness and trauma and almost no one nearby, is a painful place to be. It is understandable that you would feel forgotten or even cursed, but that is not the heart of God toward you.

Scripture shows that God desires to bless His people, not because they have earned it or because they are good enough, but because He is good. The blessing does not come from our worthiness but from His mercy and kindness. When you feel that everything is your fault, remember that God does not bless on the basis of our goodness. He blesses because He is gracious, and He delights to give good things to His children when they ask.

There is a prayer in Scripture from a man who simply called on the God of Israel and asked to be blessed indeed, to have his life enlarged, to have God's hand upon him, and to be kept from evil so that it would not grieve him. And God granted what he asked. That is a model for you now. You do not need to hustle or strive to earn God's help through activity. You can simply call upon Him directly and ask. Ask Him to bless you, to let His hand rest upon your life and hold you by your right hand, to enlarge the borders of your life beyond that single room and the lack of perspective you feel, and to keep you from evil.

God is compassionate toward His people and sends help because He cares. When a person comes to the place of desperation and humbles himself and seeks the Lord, God hears and is able to deliver and to restore what has been lost. He is the living God who sees, hears, and acts, not an idol that cannot help. He is not willing that any should perish, and His desire is to do more for you than you have yet seen.

Learning to walk by faith often begins in exactly this kind of need, when we learn that God is faithful to provide. We enter His promises not through unbelief, which provokes and hardens the heart, but through simple trust. That trust can sound like direct, honest prayer: Lord, what do You want me to do, how do You want me to walk through this, will You provide for my daily needs and show me Your way. When God guides, He also provides.

You do not need to give God your leftovers or try to impress Him. He wants your heart, the first and honest part of you, even if it is weak and tired. Bring Him what you have, even if it feels small. Trust that through Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead to give us a living hope and an incorruptible inheritance kept by the power of God, you have access to mercy. Salvation and nearness to God come through Jesus alone, and in Him you are not cursed but invited to receive mercy.

So keep calling upon Him. Ask Him to show His mercy, to keep His hand upon you, to be your defense when you feel pressed on every side, and to provide for your daily bread. He promises that no weapon formed against His people will finally prosper, and that He upholds those who trust Him. You are not alone in that room as you pray. The Lord is near to those who call upon Him, and He hears a humble and honest cry for help.

I am praying that God will reveal His merciful presence to you, sustain you day by day, open a way for your practical needs to be met, and surround you with caring help. May you experience His hand holding you steady and His peace guarding your heart as you continue to seek Him.
