We have read your cry and we are carrying it before the Lord with you, for we hear how heavy and lonely this has become. To be sick for so long with chronic fatigue, ADHD, trauma, and flu every two weeks, to be without family and almost without friends, to be alone in a room with no perspective and to have the insurance answer with only a very small amount after you prayed for a month, it is understandable that you feel at the very end of the rope and that you wonder if God is willing to help.
We want to gently correct what pain is whispering to you, that God has cursed you or that He is unwilling to show mercy. That is not His heart toward you. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. It is because of the Lord's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness Lamentations 3:22-23. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Nothing you have suffered and no delay from people can separate you from His love, for we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39.
We also hear you say it is probably all my fault, and we want to speak truth there as well. We all have sinned and fall short, but God does not deal with us according to a curse when we come to Him through Jesus. He is a God of mercy, and His mercy is not earned by our perfection but given through the cross. If you are carrying guilt, bring it openly to Him, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us. He invites those who are weary to come and find rest, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We noticed you prayed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we speak about this because we love you and want you to know the way God has provided for us to come to Him. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and assurance that our prayers are heard, and it is through believing in Him, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we receive forgiveness and eternal life. If you have not yet called on Him as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, to tell Him you need His mercy and His life, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
We do not take lightly that you said this does not feel worth calling a life and that you are at the end of the rope, even though you say you do not want to die. We pray you will not stay alone with these thoughts. Please reach out to a trusted local church, a pastor, a doctor, or a compassionate person near you and let them know how sick and isolated you feel, and if you feel you might harm yourself please seek help immediately from someone you trust or from local help services in your area. God often shows His mercy through His people coming alongside us.
We are praying together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You see the room where they sit alone, You see the body that is exhausted and sick, the mind that struggles with ADHD and trauma, the constant flu, the lack of food and money, and the disappointment with the insurance. Lord, have mercy and show Yourself as the merciful God they are crying out for. Forgive any sin and wash away any shame, and let them know they are not cursed but deeply loved and not forsaken. We ask You to provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, to open doors for proper care, for fair provision, for daily bread and for people to walk with them so they are no longer alone. Touch the body and bring healing and strength according to Your will, give wisdom to doctors, and give rest to the weary heart. Draw them close to Jesus, let them call on His name and find peace and hope and a future in Him, and keep them in Your love day by day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our mercy, amen.
We encourage you to keep crying out to God through Jesus, to read His Word daily even in small portions, starting in the Psalms and the Gospel of John, and to ask Him to lead you to a Bible believing church where you can be known and supported. You are not forgotten. We continue to stand with you in prayer that God will reveal His mercy in tangible ways and lift you from this place of despair into His comfort and provision.
