Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your request for healing from this itching, for strength and help, and that this trial would not be in vain but that God would move powerfully on your behalf and protect you from adversaries, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.
We pray that God in His mercy would grant you relief and healing according to His wisdom. Scripture shows us that the Lord heals in different ways, sometimes by His word alone, sometimes by His hand, sometimes by both, and not always in the most visible or surpassing manner. Even when He works quietly and conceals His power for a time, He is still at work for your good. We ask that whether through a sudden miracle or through steady restoration, you would know His healing touch and be strengthened in body and spirit.
We also pray that this season of discomfort would not be wasted, but that God would use it to deepen your faith and draw you closer to Him. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, which is itself greater than even miracles, for both creation and healing come by His word. May He give you grace to hear His voice, to trust His promises, and to receive the profit He intends through this trial.
We ask for His protection over you. As Christ showed His power even when He allowed Himself to be seized, healing the servant's ear and showing that nothing happens apart from His permission, so we ask that the Lord would guard you from all adversaries and from every evil intent, and keep you in His peace.
May the Lord grant you patience, comfort, and full confidence that He who has given gifts of healing and power to profit His people is able to help you now. We pray for complete healing, for renewed strength, and for the assurance that He is present and at work, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
