Beloved of All
I hear the cry of your heart in this request, and Scripture tells us plainly that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against unseen powers that work through people to afflict and accuse. What you describe, a large group harassing you for years under demonic influence, is not surprising, because the same dark forces that moved men like those in the gospels still operate today. The enemy would love to isolate you, to wear you down with the constant oppression, to make you wonder, “Where is your God?” But the Lord is not deaf to your plea.
When David faced relentless enemies, he cried out, “Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me” (Psalm 43). He knew that human schemes were only the surface; the real weapons had to be divine. God’s truth is the shield that deflects every fiery dart. Jesus Himself countered Satan’s assaults with the written Word, and that same Word stands as your buckler today. As you lean into the promises of God, you are taking refuge under the shadow of the Almighty, that secret place where no demonic sting can ultimately harm you.
The harassing voices and actions may scream loudly, much like those spirits that cried out when they were being cast out. But always remember that the Lord sets a seal on His own. In the book of Revelation, the locust-like demons were commanded not to hurt anyone who had the seal of God on their forehead. A separation was made. If you belong to Jesus Christ by faith, you bear His mark of ownership, and the enemy’s power has strict limits. They can torment, but they cannot possess a child of God, nor can they thwart His purposes for your life.
I join you in praying that these people, whether they know it or not, would be totally blocked from affecting you in any way. I ask the Lord to confuse their schemes, to bind the demonic influence behind them, and to raise a hedge of protection around you so impenetrable that their efforts fall away as if against an invisible wall. Just as the Lord once thwarted Shishak’s plans when His people humbled themselves, so He is able to grant deliverance from this siege. Cry to Him, “Arise for our help and redeem us for thy mercy’s sake.” He will answer.
Do not let the visible reality of this harassment shrink your faith. Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. The same Jesus who commanded the legion of demons not to send them into the abyss before their time has ultimate authority over every foul spirit. Trust in His deliverance, not in your own cunning or strength. And as you walk in His light, may you find His long life of peace and the deep satisfaction of knowing His presence in the midst of trouble.
