We hear your cry for deliverance and peace, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The harassment you’ve endured for years is not of the Lord, and we rebuke every demonic influence operating against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father God, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. We ask that You break every chain of harassment and oppression that has been allowed to persist in this situation. Lord, we pray for the removal of these individuals from [their] life, not out of vengeance, but so that [they] may walk in the peace and freedom that Christ died to give. We ask that You would intervene in power, surrounding [them] with Your holy angels to guard and protect [them] from every evil influence. You have prayed for the removal of a large company who harass you under demonic influence. This trial is not strange, though it is heavy. The enemy often shoots his arrows in the dark, and when men become his instruments, the sting is felt most keenly. Do not think that your sorrow has escaped the notice of your heavenly Father. He has not given you over unto death, which would be the dreadful doom of callousness and presumption. No, He is thinking upon you, and this very chastening bears the blessed aspect of a father’s hand, making even the sharpest smart to be profitable.
Yet I would bid you lift your eyes higher. Deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. To be entirely blocked from these people might be a mercy, but to be delivered from the fascinating power of sin and the terror of man, that is the greater miracle. Our preservation from dangers without should lead us to praise the God who redeems our life from destruction, but what shall we say when He delivers our souls from sinking into the pit? Pray, then, not only for a hedge about your life, but that you would be so quickened with divine life that you walk away from the dead, from their habits, their malice, and their power to distract your spirit.
Remember how Jacob delayed at the brook Jabbok, crying, “Lord, give deliverance from him whom I think bloodthirsty.” He crossed full of fear, yet God had so worked that Esau fell upon his neck and kissed him. God’s ways of deliverance are often a ransom of love that no eye foresaw. The very ones who seem set upon your ruin may be rendered harmless in a moment, or you may be given such inward songs of deliverance that the noise of the archers in the places of drawing water no longer disturbs your peace. He who brought Israel forth from Egypt by strength of hand can loosen every fetter and silence every foe with the same omnipotence that quickens the dead. Wait upon Him, for your groaning is not hid from Him. And when He arises, as surely He will, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

You ask for prayer that these harassing people be blocked from your life, and I do not refuse to pray. But examine carefully: do you give thanks to God for this trial, or only cry out when you suffer? When you were at ease, did you remember Him, or did you then introduce the demons by your own carelessness? For if, after receiving nourishment from the Master, you run to the table of demons, what wonder that they now assault you? The dog remembers his master even when he receives nothing; but you, having received so much, bark against Him. First, then, cleanse your own house. Have you any lingering sin, any unforgiveness, any secret delight in what defiles? Those who live in gratitude and purity need not fear the principalities and powers, for Christ has nailed the handwriting of ordinances to His cross and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them.
Yet I do not say the attack is mere imagination. There are those whom the demons use, and they can weary the righteous for a season. But recall the Apostle: he was a tentmaker while demons trembled. He did not seek to be rid of every persecutor at once; he sometimes withdrew from those who spake evil, not out of cowardice but to avoid kindling greater malice, and he continued teaching daily. If God permits this harassment, it may be that you, like those of old, might obtain a better resurrection by enduring without accepting a false deliverance. Do not merely pray for the removal of these people; pray rather that you may stand firm, that your faith may not fail, and that you may not be like those who once cast out demons but afterward were denied because their latter end was worse than their beginning.
