“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

Matthew 4:4: But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

God I know Your Word is living and powerful. Please kindle and rekindle a deep passion within me to seek You through Scripture. Open my eyes, heart, and ears to see and hear the beauty, truth, and life in every page of the Bible. Stir up my spirit with a fresh hunger and thirst to know You better and to treasure Your Word above all else.

Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve treated Your Word casually or out of routine. Help me approach Your Word with awe and expectation, knowing that each time I open my Bible, You are ready to speak to me. Let my heart burn with joy and wonder as I encounter You in new ways. Teach me to delight in Your truth and to let it transform me daily. God do this for me, the person who blessed me with this prayer, and the writers of this prayer. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen, so be it.

Amen, open the understanding of Ms ### and All Your Children the spiritual hunger to understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God, Matt 4:4, All Scripture is inspired by God, 2 Tim 3:16, The Sum of Your Word is Truth, Every One of Your Righteous judgments endures forever, Ps 119:160.

"For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope," Rom 15:4.

"Now He said to them, 'These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled,'” Luke 24:44.

"Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother ### also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him. He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction," 2 Peter 3:15-16.

From Genesis, "Have you not read In The Beginning God created," Jesus, Matt 19:4, to Revelation, "I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!" Rev 22:18-20.
