Is it possible this aggressive woman might have hired people to kill me? Spirit of Truth, Jesus shows us the truth...

Beloved of All
I asked a lot of prayers because of a life-threatening electrical problem in my rented apartment. Thank God, I survived and moved out. But the story hasn't seemed to end there.
While I was living in the apartment, I noticed that someone might have entered it several times, as evidenced by the position of the lock and some other signs. After many months and much unclear communication, it seems possible that they intentionally tried to kill me. I don't know for sure. Only God knows what is in their hearts and what their intentions are, but it is written in Psalms 34:21–23: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Last week, a woman I had never spoken to before came up to me angrily and shouted lies and accusations at me. She said that I had entered the house where she and the ex-landlord live. She heard this from someone else and tried to accuse me and destroy me. Thank God the Lord protected me again. Please pray for the residents of the house so that they can see the truth, because I never entered their apartment. However, it is highly likely that someone entered the apartment while I was living in that life-threatening flat. If this woman hired technicians to damage the heating system and disconnect consumers from the RCD, causing electric shocks during showers, then I pray that this is exposed. However this happened, God will show the truth. The landlord is avoiding me and is not willing to speak to me. NO REMORSE! Please pray that the Holy Spirit touches him so that he stops lying and takes responsibility!

These people have not apologised to me or compensated me after nearly three months of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We join you in thanking God that He delivered you from that life threatening electrical danger and brought you safely out of that apartment, for we know that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all Psalm 34:19. He keeps all his bones. Not one of them is broken Psalm 34:20. We hear the distress and confusion you have carried for months, the signs that someone may have entered your home, the shocks you suffered in the shower, the unclear communication with your former landlord, and now this frightening confrontation with a woman who shouted false accusations at you. We understand why your heart is troubled and why you are asking whether there was intentional harm planned against you.

We want to gently encourage you to rest in the truth that God sees all things clearly even when we do not. For man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7 and He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness 1 Corinthians 4:5. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17. We also remember that the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth John 16:13 and that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. Only God knows fully what was in their hearts and what their intentions were, and we must be careful not to bear false witness even when we have been deeply wronged, for you shall not give false testimony against your neighbor Exodus 20:16. If there was true criminal negligence or intent with the heating system and the RCD being disconnected, that is a very serious matter and we encourage you to document everything carefully, keep any evidence and communications, and if you remain in fear for your safety to seek wise counsel and the help of the proper authorities, for governing authorities are appointed by God for our protection Romans 13:1. At the same time we are called not to live in fear of man, for the fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord is kept safe Proverbs 29:25.

We also hear your righteous desire for truth and accountability, that the landlord would stop avoiding responsibility and that hardness would be broken. We pray with you that God would give them a new heart as He promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. Yet we are also called to release vengeance to God and to pray for those who have mistreated us. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me. I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Even as we pray for exposure of any wrongdoing, we also pray that you may be kept from bitterness and that you may walk in forgiveness, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you Matthew 6:14.

We lift you and all involved before the Lord together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and deliverer. We thank You that You preserved our dear one through electric shocks and danger and that You were a shield around them. We ask now for Your perfect protection to continue, for he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1 and we say of You, Lord, You are our refuge and our fortress Psalm 91:2. Quiet their anxious thoughts and let Your perfect love cast out fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control 2 Timothy 1:7. We ask that You command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways Psalm 91:11 and that no weapon formed against them would prosper Isaiah 54:17.

Lord, You know the truth about that apartment, about who entered, about the electrical system and whether there was negligence or malice. We ask that what has been done in secret be brought into the light in Your timing and in Your way. Soften the heart of the former landlord who is avoiding conversation. Convict him by Your Holy Spirit to speak truthfully, to take responsibility, and to make restitution where it is due. Touch also this woman who came with anger and false accusations, and touch all the residents of that house, that they would see clearly, that lies would be silenced, and that they would not be used to harm an innocent person. Give them hearts that hear Your call and submit to You.

We pray for our dear one to be healed from trauma and to be able to forgive as You have forgiven us, being kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. Strengthen them to not fear, for You have said Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Let them know that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28 and that You will be their vindication. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Truth, amen.

We have been holding your story before the Lord and we are so thankful you are safely out of that apartment. Living for months with a dangerous electrical problem and shocks in your own home, noticing signs someone may have entered, would leave anyone feeling on edge and exhausted. To then be shouted at and falsely accused by someone you had never even spoken to would shake anyone further.

It makes sense that your mind is still searching for answers and longing for the truth to be clearly known, especially when the landlord will not speak with you and after three months there has been no apology or amends. We hear how much you want honesty and responsibility, and also simply to feel safe and at peace again.

One steady step that can help in a tangled situation like this is to keep a simple private record of dates and what happened, keep any further communication in writing, and avoid meeting alone with those who have been hostile. It can also lighten the burden to walk through next steps with one trusted pastor or counselor, and if you are considering questions about compensation, to get guidance from a local tenant advice service so you are not carrying this by yourself.

Father, we lift our friend to You now. Thank You for preserving life through that dangerous housing situation. We ask You to guard heart and home with Your peace, give clear wisdom for each conversation and decision ahead, and in Your perfect way bring what is hidden into the light. Soften hearts where there is hardness and lead all involved toward honesty and toward You. Help our friend to release the weight of bitterness while still walking in truth and healthy boundaries. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with heaviness of heart and with hope in His mercy. You have passed through great danger in that dwelling, through shocks and peril in the very place that should have been a shelter, and we thank God with you that He preserved your life and brought you out. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and He keeps His own. That you are yet alive to seek His face is itself a testimony of His keeping power.

We understand also the distress that has followed, the signs that troubled you within the flat, the unclear words, the avoidance, the lack of remorse and recompense, and now the sudden and false accusation from one you had never spoken with, who charged you with entering a house you never entered. To be slandered after being endangered is a double trial, and it is natural that fear should rise, lest further harm should be intended against you. Only God knows the hearts and intentions of men, and He will bring the truth to light in His own time and way.

Against this fear we set the sweet word which runs like a lily bed through Scripture, Fear not. The prophet says, Fear not, I am with thee, and again, Fear thou not for I am thy God. Our Lord Himself says, Fear not, I am the first and the last, I am He that liveth and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God when we distrust the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Doubt not the Eternal. If He be for us, why should we be afraid of what man can do. Labor then, as much as lieth in you, to cast this tormenting fear upon Him who cares for you. Perfect love casts out fear, and as grace grows, fear declines.

We do not tell you to despise prudence. If you have cause to believe your life was endangered by tampering with the heating or the safety devices, it is right to seek lawful help and to let proper authorities examine what can be examined, while you leave vengeance to the Lord. But we urge you not to live in bondage to dread. The Lord who preserved you from the electric shock in the shower is still your keeper. The grave has no terror for the man who is accepted in the Beloved, and the sting of death is taken away by Him who bore our sin. Whether by malice or by negligence this danger came, God saw it, and He will judge righteously.

We will pray with you and for you.

We pray that the Spirit of Truth, who is the Lord Jesus Christ made known to us, will make manifest what is hidden, that lies will be exposed and the truth established, that if any wrong was done in that apartment it will be brought to light for the protection of others, and that if you have been falsely accused, your innocence will be made plain to all.

We pray for the residents of that house and for the landlord who avoids you, that the Lord will soften hardness of heart and give a heart of flesh, that He will put His fear within them so they turn from falsehood and take responsibility where responsibility is due, that they may hear His call and submit to Him. We ask that He will work repentance where there has been no remorse, and grant you, if it be His will, what is just and right after these months of loss.

We pray for you, that the Lord will keep you from fear, that He will give you a calm mind and a quiet conscience, that you may speak the truth in love and rest in His promise, Fear not, I will help thee, and that you may know the forgiveness and the fear of God together, for where He forgives He also gives a new heart to walk in His ways.

May the Lord keep you under the shadow of His wing, preserve you from all evil, and bring you into perfect peace as you trust in Him.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your account with deep concern and we thank God that He has kept you and brought you out of that dangerous dwelling alive. Your distress is understandable, and it is right that you have turned to the Lord who sees what is hidden and who delivers the righteous from affliction.

You speak of many suspicions, that someone may have entered your apartment, that the electrical danger may have been caused intentionally, and that others have now spoken falsely about you. In such trials the heart is tempted to settle on what it fears most, yet Scripture and wisdom teach us to be careful. Many judgments are formed upon suspicion, and for this reason the law required that every matter be established at the mouth of two or three witnesses. We are not to receive or repeat an accusation as if it were proven when it remains uncertain. As it is written, reprove a neighbor lest perhaps he has not done it, and if he has done it, that he may not do it again. Only God knows what is in the heart, and only careful examination can bring the truth to light.

Therefore we will pray as you have asked, not to confirm what is still unclear, but to ask God to reveal what is true and to bring justice with mercy.

We pray that the Lord, who kept all your bones and delivered you from harm, will continue to be your refuge and will guard you from all evil. We pray that if any wrong was done in that apartment, whether through neglect or through intent, it will be exposed and addressed in the proper way, and that those responsible will take responsibility. We pray that the Lord will touch the heart of your former landlord, that any hardness would be broken and replaced with a heart of flesh, that he would speak truthfully and act justly, and that he would make what restoration is right. We pray also for the woman who accused you and for all the residents of that house, that God would give them eyes to see the truth, that false words would not take root, and that they would come to know His call and submit to Him. We pray for you, that you would be freed from anxiety and fear, that you would not be consumed by suspicion or by the desire to answer every false charge, and that you would find peace in Christ who was Himself falsely accused yet entrusted Himself to the Father who judges justly.

Continue to walk in wisdom. Keep a distance from that place for your safety, keep a careful record of what has happened, and if you believe your life has been threatened or a crime has been committed, bring the matter to the lawful authorities who are appointed to investigate such things. Do not seek to repay evil for evil, but overcome evil with good, praying for those who have opposed you while also seeking what is right through orderly means.

May the Lord establish you in His truth, comfort you after these many months of trouble, and let His Spirit work repentance and reconciliation where it is needed.

Thank you for sharing so openly about what you have been through. Surviving a dangerous electrical problem in your home and then having to move is deeply unsettling, and it is understandable that the accusations and strange events afterward have left you feeling vulnerable and on edge. It is good that you are turning to the Lord in this. He sees all that has happened, He knows the truth about every heart and every intention, and He is your refuge and deliverer as Psalm 34 declares. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

You asked whether someone may have intentionally tried to harm you and whether false accusations are being spread about you. Only God knows with certainty what was in the hearts of those involved and what actually took place. Scripture is very serious about false witness. Under the law, if a person rose up to bear false witness against a neighbor and was proven to have lied, the penalty he sought to bring on his neighbor would fall on himself. God is not indifferent to lies and deception. He is against those who use deceptive words to harm others, and even when a lie contains much that sounds true, which is what makes deception so effective, God knows the whole truth. The test of what is true is not how convincing it sounds but whether it aligns with the character of Christ and bears good fruit. You can trust that nothing is hidden from the Lord, and if wrong was done, He will bring it to light in His time and in His way.

It is also important to guard your own heart against tormenting fear. Fear is a powerful enemy of faith. When we forget the Lord and fix our minds on what people might do, fear grows. When we remember the Lord, faith grows. David said though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. That is the cure for fear, remembering that the Lord is with you. Perfect love casts out fear, and when we are secure in Christ and in His love for us, we can face what comes without being driven by dread. This does not mean we act unwisely. We should do what is prudent and wise to stay safe, to document what has happened, and to seek proper help from authorities if there is a genuine ongoing danger, but we should not let fear motivate us to wrong conclusions or to constant anxiety. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time, so choose to fill your mind with the truth of God's presence and protection.

We will pray for you, and we will pray for those you mentioned. We pray that the Lord would keep you safe and give you peace that guards your heart, that He would cast out tormenting fear and strengthen your faith as you rest in His love. We pray that the truth would be made clear concerning the apartment and the electrical danger, and if there was deliberate wrongdoing, that it would be exposed and dealt with justly. We pray for the woman who accused you and for the former landlord who is avoiding you. We pray that the Holy Spirit would work in them, that any hardness of heart would be broken and replaced with a heart of flesh, that they would come to hate evil, which is the beginning of wisdom and the fear of the Lord, and that they would take responsibility where responsibility is due, speak truthfully, and seek reconciliation. We pray that they would hear the Lord's call and submit to Him.

May the Lord Himself be your defender. Leave vengeance and final justice in His hands, trust Him to vindicate you, and continue to walk in honesty and in the fear of the Lord, which is to depart from evil and to honor Him. He who has delivered you before is able to keep you still.

Father, we lift this dear one to You. Thank You that You delivered from the danger in that apartment and that You protected again when false accusations were made. We ask You to surround with Your presence, to remove tormenting fear and to fill the heart with perfect love and trust in You. Let truth come to light. Work in the hearts of all involved, bring conviction where there has been lying or evasion, soften hard hearts, and lead each person to repentance and to the fear of You. Give wisdom for every practical step that needs to be taken, and let Your peace reign. In Jesus name, Amen.
