Is being a deadbeat a sin?

I've heard about many others having this problem, and lately I experienced it a few times too. People who ask for money from you, a presumed "loan", swear by everything they'll pay you back by a certain agreed upon time, then when the time comes, usually don't, or if you remind them, might give you a part payment, then borrow more a little later, an amount that overrides the part payment. There seems to be an epidemic of this going around, like some worldly trend or something. It's like, everyone thinks it's "cool" to borrow, but when it's time to pay all of a sudden they're hard to find. Is this a sin? I would say on a few fronts. First, dishonesty. They shouldn't make an agreement with someone if they have no intention of keeping it. Besides, something you do to hurt another is a sin, and if the person was counting on the money back by a certain date, and they don't have it because the person "stiffed" them, their unreliability affected someone else. Also, it's disrespectful of the other person, they gain their trust enough to do it for them, instead of showing gratefulness and consideration for the favor, they spit on them by not keeping their word, and letting the other person come up short the amount. So I would say, it's a sin, if they really had no intention of paying back, and said they would, it's a lie, and if they changed their mind once they got their hands on the money, it's still dishonesty. Would you say what they're doing is sinful? {It's also robbery, because they took something that wasn't theirs and didn't return it.} {Oh, also, when the agreed date comes, they "hide out", you have to chase after them for it, after they gave their word.}

Probably pray that a building falls on me.

###, ###, ###

I don't pray like that! I used to have a friend that would say ###, ###, ### when I was wrong but he at least got to see me change into a Christian before he went on to be with Jesus. I mean you no harm ### but I do desire to see you grow into a mature Christian, not someone who holds people accountable to you but someone who sets others free :)

In the spirit of goodwill, I will get you a tee shirt with the words, "### is my favorite scapegoat'. Also, a dartboard with a picture of me and you can throw darts at it all day long. And a punching bag with my picture on it. Fair enough?

Dude, you have said that before and I didn't receive it, does that mean you lied? I don't need those ### but you could wear the t-shirt & throw darts at yourself if you like.

Yup...you had a very boring life before I came along.

What is wrong with you? I wasn't bored before you came along! Why do you think about how others are especially when you can't possibly know? If you really want to think about me, I am blessed beyond measure in Jesus my friend ### :)
