We hear your heart in this request and we lift you up together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name. We understand how difficult it can be when physical suffering and hormonal changes affect our emotions, and we know God sees your struggle with compassion and understands the weakness of our bodies for He formed us, Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Psalm 103:14 says He knows how we are made, remembering that we are dust.
We pray for you now for peace and gentleness in this time when you feel irritable and overwhelmed. We ask the Lord to calm your spirit and to help you to walk in the fruit of His Spirit even when your body is in distress. Galatians 5:22-23 reminds us that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. James 1:19 also encourages us to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. When irritability rises, we can cast our cares on Him because 1 Peter 5:7 tells us He cares for us, and Philippians 4:6-7 promises that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus. If irritability has led to any harsh words or actions toward others, we encourage you to seek His forgiveness, for 1 John 1:9 assures us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. His grace is sufficient for you, for 2 Corinthians 12:9 says His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness.
We also bring your physical suffering before the Lord. We pray for healing and relief from this medical condition that makes your cycles worse physically and emotionally. We ask God to ease your pain, to balance your body, and to grant wisdom to any doctors who care for you. Jeremiah 30:17 declares I will restore health to you, and will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray that you will feel His strengthening presence each day, for Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak and increases the strength of him who has no might.
We join you in praying for your parents to be healed from all mental illness. We ask our Father to bring healing to their minds, peace to their thoughts, and restoration to their whole beings. We pray that God would replace anxiety, confusion, or heaviness with His perfect peace and a sound mind, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray for them as Psalm 34:17-18 promises that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and that He hears the righteous when they cry.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 also teaches there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up our sister to You and ask You to touch her body and calm her emotions in these difficult days before her cycle. Lord grant her patience, gentleness, and rest, and ease her physical pain according to Your mercy. Heal her from this medical condition as only You can, and let her feel Your nearness and Your strength sustaining her. We also lift up her parents to You, Lord, and ask for Your healing hand upon their minds. Remove all mental illness, bring clarity, peace, and soundness of mind, and surround them with Your love and protection. Help this family to trust in You more each day and to know the hope we have in Jesus. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring these burdens to the Lord daily, to rest in His mercies which are new every morning, Lamentations 3:22-23, and to seek both spiritual and medical support as needed, trusting that God works through many means to bring healing and comfort.
