We join together in lifting up your son and this important interview before the Lord, knowing that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have confidence to approach the throne of grace. We thank you for acknowledging this truth in your request by closing "In Christ," for truly, apart from Him, we can do nothing.
The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your son has placed his trust fully in the Lord, seeking His will above all else—not just for success in this interview, but for the purpose and plan God has for his life. Success in the world’s eyes is fleeting, but walking in God’s will brings eternal reward.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." May your son’s heart be fixed on honoring Christ in this process, whether the outcome aligns with his hopes or not. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans are perfect, even when they differ from our own.
For the organization conducting the interview, we pray that God would grant them wisdom and discernment, that they may recognize integrity, skill, and the favor of the Lord upon your son. We ask that if this position is part of God’s plan for him, the Lord would open the door widely, making the path clear. But if this is not where God is leading, we pray your son would trust the Lord’s redirection, knowing that closed doors often protect us from what is not best for us.
We also pray for peace to guard your son’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May he rest in the assurance that his worth and future are secure in Christ, not in the outcome of this interview.
Finally, we lift you up as well, asking that the Lord would fill you with faith and patience as you wait upon Him. May you be a source of encouragement to your son, pointing him always to the One who holds his future.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son and this opportunity before You. Grant him favor, not as the world gives, but as You see fit for Your glory and his growth. Let Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be praised regardless of the outcome. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that You are sovereign over every detail of his life. We ask for wisdom, clarity, and peace to flood his heart as he trusts in You. May this experience draw him closer to You, knowing that You are his Provider, his Guide, and his ultimate Source of hope. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
