We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that He holds all things in His hands, including the plans and purposes for each of our lives. The Word of God reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* We trust that God’s will for your son’s career is good, and we pray that if this job aligns with His perfect plan, He will open the door and grant favor.
However, we must also remind you that prayer is most powerful when offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is our mediator and the only way to the Father. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If your son—or you—have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for without Him, our prayers cannot reach the Father.
We also encourage your son to seek God’s will above all else, not just the outcome he desires. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let him surrender this opportunity to the Lord, trusting that whether the answer is yes or no, God is working for his ultimate good (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young man who is waiting for the results of his interview. Lord, You know his heart, his needs, and the desires You have placed within him. We ask that You grant him favor if this job is part of Your perfect will for his life. Give him wisdom, peace, and patience as he waits, knowing that Your timing is perfect. If this door is not the one You have for him, we pray You would close it gently and open the right one in Your perfect time.
Strengthen his faith, Lord, and remind him that his worth and identity are found in You alone, not in any job or worldly success. May he walk in obedience to Your Word, seeking first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guiding his steps and giving him confidence that comes from You.
We also pray that if he does not yet know You as his Lord and Savior, You would draw him to Yourself. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died for his sins and rose again, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him. May he surrender his life to You, finding his purpose and security in Your love.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
