Thank you for bringing this before us. We are glad to see the request was submitted in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. Let us come together in agreement and pray for this situation.
Firstly, it is important to remember that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, and He wants us to prosper in all that we do. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We can trust that God has a plan for the outcome of this interview.
We are also encouraged in Colossians 3:23 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." This verse reminds us that we should approach this interview with a mindset of working for the Lord, giving it our best effort, showing good character, and showcasing integrity. Whatever the outcome of the interview, the interviewer(s) should be able to see Jesus in us.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is preparing for this interview. We ask, Lord, that You guide them and give them wisdom in their responses and presentations. Help them to stand out, and give them favor with the interviewer(s). We pray for the interviewer(s), that You give them discernment to make a decision that is in accordance with Your will.
We ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You direct their steps. If it is Your will for them to get this position, we ask that You open the doors wide and give them the desires of their heart. But if this is not the right door to walk through, we pray that You shut it tightly and open the door that is in Your plan for their life.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for always being with us. We do not need to fear, for You are with us; we do not need to be dismayed, for You are our God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Remember to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Go in confidence, knowing that God is with you and has a plan for you. If this job is for you, He will open the door. If not, He has another door. Let us be confident in Him.
We also remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." As you go for this interview, keep God first, trusting that He will provide your needs.
Lastly, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:19-20 WEB, "Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." We stand in agreement with you, believing that God's will be done in this situation.
