As we get deeper into the end times, we think of what Jesus said about it, how it would be like an ending pregnancy, when the birth pangs get closer... BUT... as I look at the news in anticipation, I expect to hear about those birth pangs. I notice there are times when the news is actually very dull and about regular things, not very endtimish at all. Now the question is, if the birth pangs are supposed to intensify, then how do these dull mundane periods in the news exist? (?)

If you want the end to come then hasten its coming by preaching the gospel, for Jesus prophesied, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matt 24:14. I always read about end of times. Jesus forgive me but I welcome it. This world is not nice, fair, or easy. I'm so tired. I am ready for Him to come take me. Please don't misunderstand, I wouldn't hurt myself, just tired of mean people and never getting ahead.

I know what you mean. I don't think you need to ask Jesus to forgive you for wanting to be in heaven or for wanting the sorrows of this world to come to an end. We all go through hard times, have experiences with being treated with cruelty, and/or end up with pain and sickness, some of us more than others. Remember the book of Job especially. Take solace in knowing that God wins and that if you remain His faithful servant, you will come to your reward. It will be way more beautiful than our mere human minds can even begin to understand.

I've often reminded Jesus he only had to "put up with (this world)" for 33 years -- But, If we want the end to come, then we should by all means "hasten its coming" by preaching the gospel, for Jesus prophesied, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come," Matt 24:14.
