INTENSE SPIRITUAL WARFARE: HELP ME TO GET RID OF THESE THOUGHTS PLEASE 🙏

Frriumor

Disciple of Prayer
Pray against the enemy’s attacks on my thoughts and my life, and against the strongholds in my mind. May I be delivered from every kind of demon, and may a great deliverance take place in my family. A dark shadow is following me—pray against it. Sometimes dark thoughts assail me, and my body rebels against me. I also dream of yellow snakes. I want this to stop once and for all. May God’s wisdom also overcome every foolish thought within me, and may I be able to unburden myself completely to Him. And may the blood of Jesus cover my life, and may all darkness be cast out of my life in His name. May the lies spoken against me—both in the spiritual realm and within churches—be exposed and destroyed by the Lord. And may I be fully restored from all the traumas and wounds I carry, even those that are unseen. And above all, may every thought that is not of God be uprooted from my life, and may every traumatic memory be erased from my mind in Jesus

We stand with you in this intense spiritual battle, recognizing the very real and oppressive attacks of the enemy. The Word of God declares in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." You are not alone in this fight, and we take up the full armor of God with you to stand against these schemes.

First, we rebuke every dark shadow, every lying spirit, and every demonic influence that has sought to torment your mind and body. The enemy has no authority over you, for you belong to Christ. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We command every unclean spirit to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has already disarmed these powers and authorities through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15). The blood of Jesus covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray specifically for the deliverance of your mind, for the enemy seeks to plant seeds of darkness, fear, and confusion. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us, "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We bind every lying thought, every traumatic memory, and every dream that does not align with God’s truth. We loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

The dreams of yellow snakes and the dark thoughts that assail you are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and does not give a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We break every generational curse, every word spoken against you in the spiritual realm, and every lie that has taken root in your life. The truth of God’s Word is your weapon, speak it, believe it, and stand on it. Psalm 91:3-4 assures us, "For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."

We also pray for the complete healing of your soul, every trauma, every wound, seen and unseen. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask the Holy Spirit to bring to light any areas of your life that need His touch, that you may be fully restored. This includes any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, "Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." Confess these things to the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

We also address the lies spoken against you, both in the spiritual realm and within churches. The enemy is the father of lies (John 8:44), but Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We declare that every false accusation, every word of condemnation, and every spirit of division is exposed and destroyed by the light of God’s truth. Proverbs 12:22 tells us, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." We pray that the Lord would bring truth and justice to every situation where lies have been spoken, and that His righteousness would prevail.

Above all, we pray that your mind would be renewed by the Word of God (Romans 12:2). Fill your thoughts with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). Meditate on Scripture, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). As you draw near to God, He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His presence, worship Him, and let His peace rule in your heart.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name. We stand on the authority of Your Word and declare that [this individual] is covered by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke every dark shadow, every lying spirit, and every demonic influence that has sought to torment them. We command these spirits to flee, for they have no place in [their] life. Lord, we ask that You break every stronghold in [their] mind and uproot every thought that is not of You. Replace these lies with Your truth, and let Your peace guard [their] heart and mind.

Father, we pray for complete deliverance and healing. Heal every wound, every trauma, and every broken place in [their] soul. Restore what has been stolen, and bring beauty from ashes. We ask that You erase every traumatic memory and replace it with the knowledge of Your love and faithfulness. Let [them] experience Your presence in a tangible way, and fill [them] with Your Holy Spirit.

We also pray against every lie spoken against [them], both in the spiritual realm and in the natural. Expose the darkness, Lord, and let Your light shine in every situation. We declare that no weapon formed against [them] shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against [them] in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill [them] with Your wisdom, Your peace, and Your joy. Let [them] walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for [them]. We thank You that You are faithful, and that You will complete the good work You have begun in [them] (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy seeks to isolate, but you are part of the body of Christ, and we stand with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has already won the victory, and in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).

We hear how exhausting and frightening this battle feels, those thoughts that will not leave you alone, the sense of something dark hanging close, even the vivid dreams that shake your rest. You are not weak for crying out about it. Many of us have faced seasons where the mind becomes a battleground, and it’s a heavy weight to carry. What you’re naming is real spiritual opposition, and bringing it into the light is itself a step of courage.

One of the things that helps in these deep fights is to remember that Jesus already defeated every dark power at the cross, and His victory becomes ours as we hold onto Him moment by moment. Freedom often comes not through a single dramatic event, but through a steady, daily walk where we learn to take every thought captive and replace it with truth. When the darkness presses in, simply speaking the name of Jesus aloud can bring a sudden stillness, His name is our safe tower. You might also find a few short Scriptures to declare back to the lies (the Psalms are full of raw, honest cries that guard the mind). As you meditate on His Word, even just a phrase, the Spirit uses it to uproot what the enemy planted.

If the oppression persists, please don’t try to fight this alone. Seek out a mature, prayerful believer or a pastor who understands spiritual warfare and can stand with you in prayer and ongoing support. Some people also find it helpful to connect with a prayer ministry team that walks through deliverance gently and wisely, always with a focus on the finished work of Christ rather than on the enemy’s noise. There is no shame in that, even the apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord about a thorn that tormented him, and God’s grace proved sufficient.

Let’s pray now for the covering and freedom you long for.

_Father, we come before You in Jesus’ mighty name. We ask that the blood of Christ cover this dear one right now, a shield against every dark arrow and lying voice. In the authority of Your Son, we command every oppressive spirit and every tormenting thought to be silent and to flee. Uproot what is not of You, and heal every unseen wound and traumatic memory with Your gentle, restoring presence. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, and let every false word spoken, whether in spiritual realms or through people, be exposed and brought to nothing. Give the mind of Christ, steady and at peace. Surround them with your angels and with people who will fight alongside them in prayer. We trust You to complete the deliverance You began, for You are faithful. Amen._

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. Nothing shall harm them, though the earth is removed and the mountains are cast into the midst of the sea. Those who trust in the Lord are not only the objects of His knowledge and care, they are also the objects of His approval. There is nothing in the world that God approves of more than faith. To trust God is the greatest of all works.

He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Darkness frequently represents Satan and the mysterious spiritual influence which he exerts upon the human mind. He is called the Prince of Darkness, and darkness seems to be his element. But we are told, and we have felt it in our personal experience, that He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for as we are justified through Jesus Christ, we must also expect to receive sanctification from a heavenly source.

To say the truth, a man's good name is no mean defense against the attacks of his fellow men. To wrap one's self about in the garment of integrity is to defy the chill blast of calumny and to be mailed against the arrows of slander. Even when he is not able to perceive it by experience, yet God's character is the refuge of the saint. The basis of the security of the believer lies in the character of God. His character is the granite formation upon which must rest all the pillars of the covenant of grace and the sure mercies thereof. There is the power of God, there is the truth of God, there is the faithfulness of God, and, despite all the desperate power of sin, we find a shelter here in the character of the Most High.

That deliverance is by divine power. God alone can take away the iron when it enters into the soul. It is of small use for those afflicted in mind to write to me or to others if their distress is spiritual, for only God can deliver them. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. But observe: I have found a ransom. This ransom is an invention of divine wisdom. I do not think it would ever have occurred to any mind but the mind of God himself to save sinners by the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ. The most astonishing novelty under heaven is the old, old story of the cross of Christ. Nobody would have thought of that way of the deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it. And it is a gift of divine love.

My dependence is not to be upon the seal of the Spirit, but upon the blood of the Son. The Spirit of God never takes the place of the Redeemer. He exercises his own peculiar office, which is to take of the things of Christ and show them unto us, and not to put his own things in the place of Jesus. If any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. The absence of the Spirit is fatal, for the divine signature is not at the bottom of the document. That life is of a new kind and has a renewing power so that men reject the course of this world and no longer fulfill the desires of the flesh and of the mind.

We propose to measure the ocean of divine love in thimbles and the sublime truths of revelation we estimate by drops of the bucket. We shall never be able to reach the thoughts and things of God while we persist in judging after the sight of the eyes, according to the measure of an earth-bound, carnal mind. It is usually accomplished by the most simple means. The work of deliverance is not by human might or by the efforts of our own strength, for works done by the efforts of our own strength are poor things, but the work of the grace of God upon our spirit is precious. Let all be of grace and nothing of self. Stand on the sure rock of the Lord's finished work and not on the dubious ground of your own carefulness.

The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour and moment of deliverance, for the time had come. Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it. What God did with others of his people in their times of trouble, how he rescued them, the splendor of his power in the ages long since gone, these are among the things to consider. I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High, the glorious years of his electing love, the years in which he has loved his people and never changed that love. Delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall we rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord.
