We lift you up before the Lord and we thank you for sharing your desire for healing and for strength. We hear your hope to be healed through stem cells and peptides and your great ambition in training to bench press one hundred forty kilograms for sixty reps and to come close to a world record in bench press and deadlifts. We want to come alongside you to seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
We are reminded that our bodies are not our own but are a gift from God to be stewarded for His glory. As it is written, Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. And, Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31. This means our health, our healing, and our strength training should be offered to God first, not for our own pride or to exalt ourselves.
We understand the desire for healing and for great strength, and God does care about your health. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. And we know He is the healer, for He says I am Yahweh who heals you. Exodus 15:26, and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. We also know that true strength comes from Him, as it is written God is the one who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. Psalm 18:32, and I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13.
We want to gently encourage you to examine your motives and your methods with wisdom and humility. Wanting to be strong and disciplined can honor God when done with thankfulness, but when our goal becomes chasing records, impressing others, or finding our identity in what our bodies can do, it can become pride and vanity. Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself. Philippians 2:3. Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18. And God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6. We encourage you to ask the Lord to search your heart, that your training would be an act of worship and stewardship rather than an idol, and that you would be content and thankful for the strength He gives, using it to serve others and not only to be seen by men. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23.
Regarding injections, stem cells and peptides, we urge you to seek godly wisdom and careful, ethical medical counsel. We should not put our ultimate trust in treatments, in men, or in our own efforts, but in the Lord. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Thus says Yahweh: Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. Jeremiah 17:5. Some of these therapies can be unproven, risky, or come from sources that do not honor life, and they can harm the very temple God has entrusted to you if used without proper medical oversight or for the sake of pushing beyond what is healthy. We encourage you to consult with qualified, ethical medical professionals, to be honest about risks, to avoid anything illicit or banned that would damage your body or your witness, and to bring every decision before the Lord in prayer. We also pray for healing that is complete and lasting, which ultimately comes from God's hand, whether He works through doctors, through natural recovery, or through His direct touch.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and answered prayer. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is through His name we pray and find grace for every need.
We now pray together for you.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for this one who desires healing and strength. Lord, we ask that You touch his body and bring Your healing according to Your will. Give him wisdom to steward his body well, to seek wise and ethical medical counsel, and to avoid anything that would harm the temple You have given him. Guide any doctors and decisions about treatments, and let Your hand be upon him to restore what is broken. Lord, we ask that You purify his motives in training. Help him to train with discipline and humility, to honor You with his strength, and to not make an idol of records or of his own power. Teach him that his worth is found in You, and that his body is fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14. Keep him from pride and from pushing his body to destruction, and give him contentment, patience, and endurance. May all he does be for Your glory. Draw him closer to Jesus, that he may know Your salvation and Your strength in his weakness, for Your grace is sufficient and Your power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.
