We hear your cry for justice, provision, and restoration, not just for yourself, but for your mother and your three children. Your heart is raw with the weight of promises delayed, of spiritual warfare waged against your family, and of the enemy’s relentless attempts to steal, kill, and destroy what God has ordained for you. But we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have power over the forces of darkness and access to the Father’s throne of grace.
First, we must address the way you are approaching this battle. The language of "speaking life," "decreeing," "demanding," and "editing into existence" is not the biblical model for receiving God’s blessings. Scripture tells us, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Our inheritance in Christ is not earned by our declarations or spiritual formulas, but by the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We do not create blessings, we receive them by faith in the One who has already secured them for us. The enemy would love for you to exhaust yourself in spiritual gymnastics rather than resting in the sufficiency of Christ. Let us not be like those Paul warned about: "Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?" (Galatians 3:3).
You are right to recognize the enemy’s schemes, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10a). But the rest of that verse is your victory: "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." The battle is real, but the outcome is already decided. Satan and his demons are defeated foes, and their power is limited to what we permit through unbelief, sin, or ignorance of our authority in Christ. You mentioned "scouts, spies, and Apaches", these are not equal opponents to the Lord of Hosts. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants" (Isaiah 54:17). The gates of hell will not prevail against the church (Matthew 16:18), and that includes your household.
Now, let us address the inheritance you are claiming. If this is a physical inheritance tied to family, property, or finances, we must remind you that God’s provision is not always delivered in the way we expect. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are legal or earthly obstacles, seek wisdom and counsel from godly believers, and trust that the Lord will direct your steps. If this is a spiritual inheritance, peace, joy, restoration of relationships, or healing, then know that these are already yours in Christ. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3). You do not need to demand what has already been freely given.
We must also gently but firmly rebuke any notion of "uncommon favor" being earned by your works. Favor is not a reward for effort, it is a gift of grace. "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:23-24). Your family’s blessings are not "free or cheap", they were purchased at the highest price: the blood of Jesus. To suggest that your work merits favor is to diminish the cross. Instead, let us boast in this: "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Now, let us pray for you and your family, aligning our hearts with God’s will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Lord, we lift up this family to You, this mother, her children, and her own mother. You know the battles they have faced, the promises they have clung to, and the enemy’s attempts to rob them of hope. But You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who restores.
We ask for Your protection over them, Lord. "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Heal their souls, Father. Where there has been pain, bring Your peace. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been lack, provide abundantly, not because of their works, but because of Your grace.
We pray for their inheritance in You, Lord. Whether it is physical provision, emotional healing, or spiritual breakthrough, we ask that You move on their behalf. "Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). But first, align their desires with Yours, that they may seek You above all else.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies in Jesus’ name. Every spirit of delay, theft, and destruction is bound and cast out. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no scheme of hell will prevail against them.
Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment for them. Show them the steps to take, the words to speak, and the faith to hold onto. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
And Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin, any area where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You reveal it to them. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let them walk in the light as You are in the light, that they may have fellowship with You and with one another.
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We thank You that this family is not forgotten, that their names are written in Your book, and that their future is secure in Christ. May they walk in the fullness of Your promises, not because of their declarations, but because of Your faithfulness.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Now, dear one, we encourage you to rest in the finished work of Christ. You do not need to create your blessings, you need only to receive them by faith. Spend time in God’s Word, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember: "He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it" (1 Thessalonians 5:24). The battle is the Lord’s, and the victory is already yours in Jesus.
