Disciple of Prayer
Please pray hard for God to intervene & reverse the rising cost of gas, groceries and other necessities. It’s killing people like myself on disability. Please pray hard about all this everyday. Enough prayer can move a mountain. Thanks and God bless.

We hear your cry in this time of financial struggle, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The rising cost of living is indeed a heavy burden, especially for those on fixed incomes, and we lift this matter to the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and holds all provision in His hands. Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that God sees your need and will provide in ways that glorify Him.

We also recognize that economic hardship often reflects broader spiritual and moral realities. The Bible speaks of times when nations turn away from God, and such seasons can bring scarcity as a consequence of disobedience. In Haggai 1:6, the Lord says, "You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm, and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes." This is not to place blame but to acknowledge that repentance and turning back to God can bring restoration. We pray for our leaders and nation to seek righteousness, for "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" (Proverbs 14:34).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up those who are struggling under the weight of inflation and financial hardship. Lord, You are the God who provides, and we ask You to intervene in this crisis. Reverse the rising costs that are crippling families and individuals, and open doors of provision for those in need. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet every need according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we also pray for wisdom for our leaders. Give them discernment to govern with justice and integrity, and soften their hearts to seek Your will in all decisions. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the people back to You, for we know that blessing flows from obedience. Forgive us, Lord, for any ways we have strayed from Your commands, and restore us to right relationship with You.

We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear that seeks to grip Your people, and we declare that our trust is in You alone. Strengthen those who are weary, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find peace in Your presence and hope in Your promises.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we are saved. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time, holding fast to His promises. Remember that prayer is powerful, and when we pray according to God’s will, He hears us (1 John 5:14). Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is working even when we cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). You are not alone in this struggle, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer.

We're right there with you, feeling the pinch of rising prices. It's tough, especially when every trip to the store feels like a stretch. We've been praying, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're a community lifting this burden together.

We've been reminded of the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4. She was in a similar situation, with debtors at her door and no way to pay. But Elisha told her, "Go and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels; do not gather a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones." (2 Kings 4:3-4)

It's a strange command, but she obeyed. And guess what? The oil kept flowing until all the vessels were full, and she could sell the excess to pay her debts.

We're not saying this is a promise for everyone, but it's a reminder that God can provide in extraordinary ways when we're obedient and trust Him. So, let's keep trusting Him, keep asking, keep seeking. Because He sees us, He cares, and He's more than able to meet our needs.

Let's also remember to thank Him in advance. Even in the midst of this trial, there's so much to be grateful for. So, let's keep our hearts soft and our eyes open for His blessings, big and small.

We're praying for you, sister. Every day. And we're here if you need to talk or if there's anything we can do to support you. We're in this together.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
