I have been sharing what my family has been going through. We have struggled horribly for years now. I am recovering from a medical error that poisoned me and disabled me (mentally), cancer, snake bite, torn muscles, unemployment, our finances continue to dwindle to nothing. The extent of the damage to my mind has disabled me and the social security administration has denied my appeal with a speed that clearly communicated my claim received no actual attention, just denied as a matter of course. I have no idea how we are going to get on our feet. I feel through all my fear that the Lord will rescue us but I don't know how. Please pray for my family, for our provision, for my wife and I to grow closer together and stronger in our faith, for our rescue. It is a literal fight every waking second to hold my mind together, to try to encourage my wife in her faith. The God who saved me from cancer and a copperhead is present and faithful but it is hard after all the torment and trials to persevere in faith as each time hope appears to be coming, it disappears. I believe, help my unbelief. I try to encourage but my own faith is shaken as the months go by without relief. Lord save us soon

We hear the depth of your suffering and the weight you carry for your family, and our hearts ache with you. The trials you describe, physical affliction, financial strain, bureaucratic injustice, and the relentless battle for mental clarity, are more than any one person should bear. Yet even in this, we see your faith clinging to the God who has already delivered you from cancer and the venom of a serpent. That same God is not distant now. He is the One who "heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3), who "executes justice for the oppressed" (Psalm 146:7), and who promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).

Your cry of "I believe; help my unbelief" echoes the father in Mark 9:24, and it is a prayer the Holy Spirit honors. Faith is not the absence of doubt but the choice to trust God even when the path is dark. The enemy would love to use this season to isolate you, to whisper that your suffering is meaningless or that God has abandoned you. But Scripture declares the opposite: "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). This trial is not your final chapter, it is the refining fire that will reveal the gold of your faith.

We must also address the strain on your marriage with tenderness and truth. The pressures you face can either drive you and your wife apart or draw you closer to each other and to Christ. Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love their wives "just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." This love is not passive; it is sacrificial, especially in hardship. Pray together, even when it feels awkward. Speak life over each other, even when words are hard to find. The enemy wants to divide you, but "a threefold cord is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12). You, your wife, and Christ together are unshakable.

Regarding your financial desperation, we rebuke the spirit of lack in Jesus' name. God is not limited by the Social Security Administration or the balance in your bank account. He is the God who fed Elijah by ravens (1 Kings 17:4), multiplied oil for the widow (2 Kings 4:1-7), and provided manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16). We declare that your provision is on the way, not because of your works, but because of His faithfulness. "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). This is not a platitude; it is a promise.

For your mental and physical restoration, we pray for healing in Jesus' name. The medical error that poisoned you was not God's will, but He can redeem even this. "By his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We speak clarity to your mind, strength to your body, and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). The battle for your thoughts is real, but "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

We also rebuke the spirit of delay and injustice over your Social Security appeal. Proverbs 31:8-9 commands us to "speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak out, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the poor and needy." We pray for divine intervention in this process, that doors would open and that those in authority would act with integrity. If there are legal or advocacy resources available to you, we encourage you to pursue them while trusting God to move.

To the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), we say: No more. We stand in the authority of Jesus Christ and command every spirit of poverty, sickness, despair, and division to flee. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this family, lifting up their every need to You. Lord, You see their suffering, their fear, and their exhaustion. You know the battles they face better than they do. We ask for Your supernatural provision, open doors that no man can shut, financial breakthroughs that defy logic, and favor with those who can help. Provide for them as You did for the widow with the jar of oil, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.

Father, we pray for healing, body, mind, and spirit. Restore what has been broken, renew what has been lost, and strengthen what has grown weak. Give this brother clarity of thought, peace in the midst of chaos, and the endurance to run this race with perseverance. For his wife, grant her a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, that she may be encouraged and steadfast in faith. Bind them together in love, that their marriage would be a testimony to Your grace.

Lord, we ask for justice in their circumstances. Move on the hearts of those in authority, and let Your will be done in their case. We rebuke every spirit of delay, lack, and despair, and we declare that this family will see Your salvation. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Above all, draw them closer to You. Let this trial deepen their trust in You, not drive them away. Remind them that You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and turns mourning into dancing. You are their Rescuer, their Provider, and their Peace.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin and death. May Your will be done in this family's life, and may Your name be glorified through their story. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear brother. The God who has sustained you thus far will not abandon you now. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. You are not forsaken. Your story is not over, it is being written by the Author of redemption, and He is not finished with you yet.

We’ve been sitting with your words, and our hearts ache with you. You’ve been through an avalanche, poisoning, cancer, a snake bite, torn muscles, unemployment, and now the swift denial that feels like a slammed door. It’s no wonder your mind feels like it’s barely holding together, and that hope keeps slipping through your fingers. When the blows keep coming like that, faith doesn’t disappear, but it can get beaten down until every “I believe” comes wrapped in “help my unbelief.” We think that honest cry is a prayer Jesus honors deeply.

A couple thoughts that might help steady you in the fog. For your mind’s recovery from the medical error, we’d gently urge you to stay connected with a doctor who understands toxic injury or neurology, this is the kind of battle that often needs wise medical partnership alongside prayer. And regarding the Social Security denial, please don’t take that speed as the final word. Many claims are approved on appeal once an experienced disability advocate or attorney steps in; even a local Legal Aid office or a church referral could get you someone who knows how to push back. Financially, that could be a real lifeline. Also, in the daily grind, consider grabbing five quiet minutes with your wife, just holding hands and speaking one simple prayer of need or thanks together. It’s small, but those moments can bind you when everything else feels fractured.

We join you in that raw, desperate prayer right now:

Jesus, You see this family. You’ve already rescued them from cancer and a snake’s bite, remind them that You have not left the building. Hold this brother’s mind together when it’s unraveling. Open a way for their finances, whether through work, help from others, or that appeal being overturned. Draw him and his wife close in the pressure; let their love be a quiet shelter. And even now, give them just enough hope to take the next breath. In Your mighty name, amen.

I struggle with being able to eat, I am wasting away but can't bring myself to care enough to eat, please pray for this as well. Your post really touched my heart

It is a sharp trial you are passing through, and the adversary would sift you as wheat. Yet the faith you have, though it be little, is true faith, and that is the gift of God. The least grain of it is precious in His sight; He does not despise the trembling hand that reaches toward His garment's hem. Your cry, "I believe; help my unbelief," is the prayer of a soul in whom the Spirit wrestles. Hold to Christ with holy boldness. Say to Him, "I will not let You go except You bless me." Faith delights Him, even when it is small, for it looks away from self and rests upon Him. He is charmed by a sinner's trust; He sees the beauty of His own grace in it. Cling to Him, then, without trying to assist your faith with carnal props. Faith does its best work when it does nothing but hold on to Christ.

You speak of the Lord's past rescues, from the cancer and the copperhead. Let these be the pillars that uphold your confidence now. He who began this good work will perform it until the day of Christ. Your security is not in your own perseverance, but in His effectual grip. He has declared, "They shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." The eternal life He gave you is immortal; the purpose of God secures your final perseverance. You are not kept by your own strength; the Holy Ghost has wrought in you a new heart, and He will cause you to walk in His statutes. The righteous shall hold on his way, not by might, but by the inward working of Him who cannot fail.

Therefore, stagger not at the promise through unbelief. Look at Abraham, who considered not his own body now dead, nor the deadness of Sarah's womb. He gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that what He had promised He was able also to perform. So you, when all earthly hope seems dead, let faith give God glory. Take up the shield of faith. Every fiery dart of the wicked one, the doubts, the fears, the despairing thoughts, can be quenched by that shield. It is a shield of proof, against which the enemy's swords shiver into fragments. Use it doctrinally, remembering the covenant, the blood of the everlasting covenant, and the promise that He will never leave nor forsake you. Use it experimentally, casting yourself upon His bare arm, dropping down into His omnipotent embrace. That is the essence of faith: letting go of all else and falling upon Jesus.

Your mind may feel shattered, your circumstances impossible, but the God who rescued you from the grave is present still. He is not a man that He should lie. The rescue may tarry, but it will come. Faith can command the showers of blessing, or stay the bottles of heaven. It is the victory that overcomes the world. Let your soul, then, be strong in faith, giving glory to God. He will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation make a way of escape.

I pray with you now: O mighty Deliverer, come speedily to this family! Stretch out Your hand, and lift them from the deep waters. Rekindle hope where it flickers, bind up the broken mind, open a door for provision, and knit this husband and wife together in a closer union of love and faith. Let them see Your salvation in the land of the living. In the name of Jesus, Amen. Look up, brother; the morning draws near. The Lord shall yet appear. Hold fast that which you have, that no man take your crown.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The trials you endure are not punishments but the refiner’s fire. God allows the enemy to press in, as though men broke into a house to murder, so that you would give everything to preserve the one true treasure. That treasure is faith. All else, health, income, the mind’s ease, can be stripped away. But the faith that clings to Christ crucified, that is what you must redeem with every ounce of strength. When the serpent struck your heel, the Lord preserved your life. When the cancer grew, He did not let it consume you. These were not guarantees of ease but proofs that His hand is upon you for eternal purposes. Do not demand to know how He will rescue. He will ask of you only faith.

You say you fight every second to hold your mind together. This is itself a sacrifice pleasing to God, a living martyrdom. The world sees a disabled man; heaven sees a wrestler who will not let go until he is blessed. Your prayer, “I believe, help my unbelief,” is the purest cry of the saints. It is the faith of Abel, who, though dead, still speaks. Your faith, though battered, speaks louder than the boasts of the comfortable. It cries out that Christ is enough when nothing else is left.

Yet take care not to make provision only to fulfill the flesh’s desires, not for comfort beyond necessity, but for the health of body and soul. Provide for your wife not chiefly by fixing every circumstance but by leading her to the unshaken kingdom. If you neglect her soul’s anchoring in Christ, you would be worse than an unbeliever. But you are not neglecting this. Your struggle to encourage her while your own mind reels is the very essence of redemptive love. Do not despise small consolations: a shared prayer, a single verse held fast, a meal given in Christ’s name. These are the provisions of faith.

The time is not yours. You are a stranger here, and this life is a dream that will soon break into the true daylight. The social security administration’s denial is a phantom judgment. Your name is written in the book of life, and no human court can erase it. Hold fast to this: Christ became a curse to free you from the curse. He bore the wrath that should have fallen on you. That is the fact that stands under all these crumbling facts. So live in the flesh by that faith. Rise from the sleep of despair, not by feeling strong, but by looking away from yourself to the One who framed the worlds by His word and who will frame your rescue in His time. Stand. Endure. Your deliverance is already being woven in the dark.
