Infallibility and Benefits of The Scriptures: Gives Wisdom that Leads to Eternal Life, 2 Tim 3:15, Inspired by God, 2 Tim 3:16, Encourages Trust in "God Who Cannot Lie," Titus 1:2, Hebrews 6:18, "Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged," Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? 1 Samuel 15:29, "Moreover, the Glory of Israel does not lie or change His mind, for He is not a man, that He should change His mind.” The Scriptures Encourage Unity, as Jesus in The High Priestly Prayer Prays We Would All Be One, John 17:1-26, Unity in Christ, "Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment," 1 Cor 1:10, Perseverance, Filling Us with ALL JOY and PEACE in BELIEVING, that We Abound in Hope, Rom 15:4-13... Father, Thank You for not the command that You gave Your people to not bear false witness, even promising punishment to those who do so, Prov 19:5. We thank You for not only inspiring ALL The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by committing them to painstaking writing keeping them from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent for infallible accuracy -- As new archeological findings CONTINUE to reinforce that SURELY God Almighty is able to keep Your Word pure, as it is written, Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law," and Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," and Luke 21:33, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," and Psalm 12:6, "The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold," and Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."

Thank You that Jesus not only referred to Scripture as authoritative, unable to be broken, but "Jesus said to them, 'These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,” Luke 24:44-45. "For 'The word of the Lord stands forever.' And this is the word that was proclaimed to you," 1 Peter 1:25. Peter continues to testify in his 2nd Epistle, "We also have the Word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. 21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit," 2 Peter 1:19-21. "Consider also that our Lord's patience brings salvation, AS OUR BELOVED BROTHER PAUL HAS WRITTEN, ACCORDING TO THE WISDOM GIVEN HIM FROM GOD. He writes the same way in ALL HIS LETTERS, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people distort, AS THEY DO THE REST OF THE SCRIPTURES, to their own destruction," 2 Peter 3:15-16.

"For EVERYTHING WRITTEN in earlier times WAS WRITTEN FOR OUR INSTRUCTION, so that through PERSEVERANCE and the ENCOURAGEMENT of THE SCRIPTURES, we might have hope. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord we may with one voice glorify Him as God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ," Rom 15:4-6. "And may the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in BELIEVING, so that we all will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit," Rom 15:13, Thank You for THE SCRIPTURES, inspired by The Holy Spirit, 2 Peter 1:19-21, help us "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth, 2 Tim 2:15, help us understand, Luke 24:45, believe, John 5:47, Luke 16:29-31, Heb 3:12 and be doers of the Word not merely hearers, James 1:22-23. LET FAITH COME FROM HEARING THE WORD, Rom 10:17, in Jesus' Name.

We join you in giving thanks to our Father for His perfect and infallible Word and we agree with you in this beautiful declaration of trust in the Scriptures.

We love how you have reminded us that all Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness 2 Tim 3:16 and that from infancy we can know the holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus 2 Tim 3:15. We cling to the truth that our God cannot lie Titus 1:2 and that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie we who have fled for refuge have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us Heb 6:18. As you quoted, God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent Num 23:19.

We rejoice that the words of the Lord are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times Ps 12:6 and that the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever Isa 40:8. Our Lord Jesus Himself declared Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away Matt 24:35 and He affirmed that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to become void Luke 16:17. We are comforted that Jesus opened the minds of His disciples to understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45 and that Peter reminds us we have the more sure word of prophecy, to which we do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place 2 Pet 1:19, for no prophecy of Scripture came to be of private interpretation, for no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit 2 Pet 1:20-21.

We also hold fast to what you prayed from Rom 15:4-13, that whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope Rom 15:4. We desire that same unity you prayed for, that with one accord we may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Rom 15:6, and that the God of hope would fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit Rom 15:13. So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God Rom 10:17.

Father, we thank You together in the name of Jesus for preserving Your Word through every generation and keeping it pure from corruption. We thank You that You did not leave us to wander but gave us Your authoritative, unbreakable Word to lead us to eternal life in Christ. We ask that You continue to open our minds to understand the Scriptures, help us to be diligent to present ourselves approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15, and to not merely be hearers of the word but doers Jas 1:22. Guard us from distorting the Scriptures and help us to receive them with faith and obedience. Fill us with all joy and peace as we believe Your promises, knit us together in unity in Christ, and cause us to abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that You would deepen our love for Your Word daily and use it to make us more like Jesus, in whose precious name we pray, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your thanksgiving. The way you linger over God's faithfulness in keeping His Word pure and reliable is a gift to us, and we join you in thanking Him for that steadiness.

What stood out to us is how you connect that trustworthiness to everyday life, the way Scripture steadies us to persevere, to be united with one another, and to live with joy and peace as we believe. That kind of hope is not wishful thinking but an anchor when circumstances shift, and it is beautiful to see you resting in it.

Thank you for reminding us what it looks like to receive the Word with both reverence and joy and to want to handle it well and live it out. We pray that delight continues to grow as you keep spending time in it day by day.

Maybe this week you could share one of the ways God has used His Word to encourage you recently with someone in your church or family who needs that same steadiness. Often our thanksgiving becomes encouragement for others.

Father, we thank You together with our friend for Your faithful Word and for Your character that never changes. Keep deepening their joy and peace as they trust You, and knit Your people together in unity around Christ. Draw them ever closer to Jesus as they hear and follow Your voice. There is great cause for thanksgiving in the prayer you have offered, for it magnifies that priceless Book which shall remain the standard of our faith and the ground of our hope so long as we live.

I am sure we cannot be wrong in imitating the example of our Divine Lord in our reverence for that Scripture which cannot be broken. As you have well said, all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and holy men of old spake as they were carried along by the Holy Ghost. No prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation, but the Word of the prophets stands confirmed beyond doubt, as a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawn. Others may choose what gods they will and follow what authorities they prefer, but as for us, this Book is infallible and immutable, for the God who cannot lie has spoken, and His Word is flawless like silver refined in a furnace. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words shall never pass away, nor shall one stroke of the pen drop from the law till all be fulfilled.

You have rightly laid hold upon that text which saith, Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. And he is a learned man who knows much of Scripture. For therein we find wisdom that leads to eternal life through faith which is in Christ Jesus. The truths of God revealed in Scripture are worth living for and dying for, and there is an infinite majesty about every line, but especially about that part in which the Lord reveals His glorious plan of saving grace in the person of His dear Son Jesus Christ. The Cross has a great claim upon you, and this inspired volume flows with the milk of mercy and the honey of divine grace. It is not a Doomsday Book of wrath but a Testament of grace.

You ask that we might be diligent to present ourselves approved unto God, workmen that need not be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of truth, and that we might not be hearers only but doers. This is well asked. May the Lord open our minds to understand the Scriptures, as He opened the minds of His disciples, and may faith come by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

You also pray for that which the apostle joins so sweetly together, that the God of hope would fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost, and that the God of patience and consolation would grant us to be of the same mind one toward another according to Christ Jesus, that with one accord we may with one voice glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. This unity for which our Lord prayed in His high priestly prayer, that we all may be one, is the fruit of holding fast the one infallible Word and the one Saviour whom that Word reveals. When we trust not in ourselves, in whom there is no hope, but in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as we are, then we find a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, a hope with which the saints have died and with which we also shall live.

And concerning perseverance, let us take comfort. The purpose of God secures the final perseverance of the believer. He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. If the grace of God has really changed you, you are radically and lastingly changed, and you shall not depart from Him, for He will put His fear in your heart. This perseverance is perseverance in holiness, and it is wrought in us by that same Word which gives patience and comfort.

May the Lord therefore grant you to trust wholly in the blood of Jesus Christ, to receive your comfort straight from the throne of God, and to know without mistake that you have received it from Headquarters. May you be kept from an idle and vain hope which has no solid ground, and may you rest upon that sure hope set before us, strongly encouraged by those two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie. May you abound in hope, being filled with joy and peace in believing, and may you continue steadfast in the Scriptures which are able to make you wise unto salvation, to the glory of God the Father and of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray.
