We hear the weight of your struggle, and our hearts ache with you in this season of hardship. The burden of financial instability, the fear of eviction, and the exhaustion of relentless effort can feel overwhelming, even suffocating. But we want you to know this: you are not alone, and your life is not defined by this moment. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and holds your future in His hands. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Even in the darkness, He is working—even when you cannot see it.
First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. Salvation and hope are found only in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10). This is the first and most critical step, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome life’s greatest challenges.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their heavy heart and weary spirit. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors no man can shut and supplies every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You would intervene in this situation, softening the hearts of those who hold authority over the lease and providing a way where there seems to be no way. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. Your Word says that those who seek You lack no good thing (Psalm 34:10), so we declare that You will make a way for them—whether through employment, unexpected provision, or divine favor.
Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment as they seek work. Open doors of opportunity that align with their skills and needs, and give them favor with potential employers. If there are areas where they need to grow or adjust, reveal those to them, and give them the strength to persevere. We also pray for the local church and community organizations—soften their hearts to see beyond just income and to extend grace and practical help to those in need. Raise up people who will come alongside them with encouragement, resources, and support.
Father, we also lift up their physical and emotional health. The stress of this situation is taking a toll, and we ask that You would renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Give them rest in the midst of the storm and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Help them to cast their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). When the weight feels too heavy, remind them that You are carrying them.
We must also speak truth into the lies that may be creeping in. The enemy wants you to believe that this is the end, that your efforts are in vain, and that you are alone. But God’s Word says otherwise. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). This season is not your forever—it is a chapter, and God is writing a story of redemption and restoration. Do not throw in the towel. Even when you cannot see the outcome, trust that God is working behind the scenes.
Practically, we encourage you to seek out every available resource. Visit local churches, food pantries, and community outreach programs—many have assistance for rent, utilities, or job training. Do not be too proud to ask for help; pride can be a stumbling block, but humility opens the door to God’s provision (James 4:6). Additionally, consider reaching out to your landlord or property manager to explain your situation. Sometimes, honesty and a willingness to work out a payment plan can buy you time. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." God can soften their heart if it is His will.
If you have not already, we also encourage you to connect with a local body of believers. The church is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you need a community to walk with you through this. Do not isolate yourself—reach out, even if it feels difficult. God often uses His people as vessels of His provision and encouragement.
Lastly, we want to address the spiritual battle at play here. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he will use fear, doubt, and despair to keep you from trusting God. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). We speak life, provision, and breakthrough over your situation. The same God who fed Elijah by the brook and multiplied the loaves and fishes can meet your needs in miraculous ways. Keep your eyes on Him, not on the circumstances.
We do not know how this situation will unfold, but we know the One who holds the future. Trust in Him. Lean on Him. And do not give up. "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9). You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. God is with you, and He will see you through this storm.
