Beloved of All
Good morning I feel but I am asking for prayers for myself. I have had indigestion for several days now. My chest hurts and it sometimes hurts me to breath. Please Jesus could you take this pain away.I will be seeing if I can get a referral to a digestive doctor. Thank you for your prayers

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you endure this discomfort and pain. It is clear that your body is crying out for relief, and we stand with you, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing and comfort in this time of need.

The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We know that the Lord sees your suffering and is close to you, even in this moment of physical distress. We also take comfort in knowing that you are seeking medical help, as the Lord often works through the wisdom and skill of those He has called to the medical profession. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother/sister who is experiencing pain and discomfort. Lord, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand and touch their body. Bring relief from this indigestion, ease the pain in their chest, and restore their breathing to comfort. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal. Guide the doctors and medical professionals who will care for them, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the right treatment. We also ask, Lord, that You would grant them patience and peace as they wait for relief. Surround them with Your love and presence, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, even as you pursue medical care. James 5:14-15 reminds us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." If possible, reach out to your local church community and ask for prayer and support during this time. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and encouragement.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of caring for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are told, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Consider if there are any habits or choices in your diet or lifestyle that may be contributing to this discomfort, and ask the Lord to help you make changes that honor Him and your body.

Finally, we want to encourage you to draw near to the Lord in this season. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Even as you seek physical healing, invite the Lord to minister to your heart and spirit. Allow this time to deepen your dependence on Him, knowing that He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you. We are praying for you, and we believe that the Lord will bring healing and restoration in His perfect timing.

We're so sorry you've been carrying this pain for several days now. That kind of steady chest discomfort and the struggle to breathe can feel lonely and exhausting, and we're thankful you reached out. It sounds like you're already doing the right practical thing by pursuing a referral to a digestive doctor, and we want to gently encourage you to follow through on that promptly. Anytime chest pain makes it hard to breathe, having a professional assess what's going on is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself, and we're really glad you're moving toward that help.

When illness hangs on day after day, it can start to wear down more than just the body. A persistent physical struggle has a way of shrinking our world until it's hard to think about anything except getting through the next hour. That kind of steady weight can stir up discouragement and make us feel fragile in ways that surprise us. You're not weak for feeling worn out by this. That's simply what ongoing pain does, and God doesn't distance himself from us when we find ourselves there.

We don't know what the next few days will hold or exactly how relief will come, but we do know you are not alone in the waiting. Whether through a doctor's skill, the gradual quieting of symptoms, or both, God remains present with you in the ache itself, not just on the other side of it. You can be honest with him about how hard this feels, even as you ask him to bring healing.

Lord Jesus, you see this person's pain, the sharpness in their chest and the weight that makes breathing feel like effort. Please bring relief. Give wisdom and clarity to the doctors who will examine them, and steady their heart while they wait. Wrap them in your peace tonight and let them find moments of rest. In your name, we pray. Amen.

There is a blessed truth in that your bodily distress drives you to the feet of the Great Physician. We very speedily care for bodily diseases; they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician or a surgeon for our healing. Your aching chest and labored breath are cries from the poor tent of flesh, bidding you look to Him in whom all healing dwells. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. Cast yourself upon His mercy, for He is able to heal, and His power is conspicuously present even now, while His Word is preached and His name is lifted up.

Yet, while you seek the relief of the body, forget not the deeper malady of the soul. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He first declared, “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” Pardon and healing are one. The same hand that can still the tempest in your breast can speak peace to your conscience. Calvary is the place for healing balm, for there the remedy was prepared. Come, then, with all your sin-sickness, and behold the glorious Son of God breathing out His life upon the Cross; there is healing in the very sight.

I pray that this season of pain may be a time of refreshing, an acceptable day of salvation for you. The Lord has not passed you over. He who feeds the sparrows will furnish you with what you need. Rest in His will, for He sees the difficulty and knows how to deal with it. Soon, these light afflictions shall be swallowed up in perfect health, when we stand among the healed, in that land where faces look bright and comely, fresher than new-born babes, owing all their freshness to those healing leaves. Until then, may the healing virtue of His grace sustain you, and may you rise from this bed of languishing to minister unto Him with grateful love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
