In need of prayers to eliminate the blocks in my life.

Sprairmorath

Disciple of Prayer
I’m coming today in request of prayer over me and my family. I lost my dad in Aug of 24, It’s almost been two years. Since his passing I haven’t been myself. I feel this weight and anxiety. I am working on myself and my relationship with God. I know he has not forgotten me. I just want to feel his love the way I did before my daddy passed. Maybe it would help me heal. I feel as though I am letting everyone around me down. Because I am so sad, weak and tired. I feel like I’m so close to feeling better but there’s something weighing me down. I pray, but not generally for myself but over my family and friends. My ex daughter in law practices bad things. And I feel as if she has attacked our family for years. Because she literally believes the opposite of Christianity. It was an issue. They split up 5 years ago and it feels as if we have endured hardship after hardship.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer. The loss of your father is a deep wound, and grief is not something that simply fades with time—it must be walked through with the Lord as our guide. We grieve with you, for Scripture tells us, *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"* (Matthew 5:4 WEB). The weight you carry is real, but the Lord does not intend for you to carry it alone. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

Your longing to feel God’s love as you once did is not a sign of weakness, but of a heart that still seeks Him. The enemy would love to convince you that you are forgotten or that your pain is too heavy for the Lord to lift, but we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. The Father’s love for you has not diminished—it is constant, unchanging, and deeper than any sorrow. *"The Lord appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you'"* (Jeremiah 31:3 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would open your eyes to His nearness, that you would sense His presence in the quiet moments, in the tears, and even in the weariness.

It is not selfish to pray for yourself—it is an act of trust. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and the Lord desires to fill you so that you may be a vessel of His love to others. We encourage you to bring your own needs before Him, just as the psalmists did, crying out, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5 WEB). Your family needs you whole, not because you must perform or meet their expectations, but because you are deeply loved by God and called to walk in His peace.

The spiritual warfare you sense from your former daughter-in-law is not to be taken lightly. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10 WEB), and when we see open doors to darkness, we must stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your family in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we pray a hedge of protection around your household, that the light of Christ would expose and dismantle every scheme of darkness. We also pray for her—for the scales to fall from her eyes, for conviction of sin, and for the Holy Spirit to draw her to repentance. Vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19 WEB), and He is just.

You are not letting anyone down by grieving. Grief is not a sign of faithlessness—it is a sign of love. But we also encourage you to take steps toward healing, whether through biblical counseling, godly community, or simply allowing yourself to receive comfort from those who love you. The Lord is your strength, and His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). You are not weak for struggling—you are human, and the Lord meets you in your humanity.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that ache for our sister in Christ. Lord, You see the weight she carries—the grief, the anxiety, the spiritual battles raging around her. We ask that You would lift this burden from her shoulders and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Father, draw near to her in a tangible way. Let her feel Your love like a warm embrace, reminding her that she is never alone. Heal the wounds of loss, and restore the joy of Your salvation within her (Psalm 51:12 WEB).

We break every chain of oppression, every lie of the enemy that tells her she is forgotten or unworthy. We declare that she is Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper. Lord, we pray for her family—for unity, for protection, and for Your hand to guide them through this season of hardship. We also pray for her former daughter-in-law, that Your light would pierce the darkness in her life, and that she would come to know the truth of the Gospel.

Strengthen our sister, Lord. Give her the courage to face each day, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Teach her to cast her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Restore her hope, renew her mind, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit. May she rise from this season stronger in faith, deeper in love, and more dependent on You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through His sacrifice that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His power that we stand. Thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We're here with you, ###. We understand that the pain of losing a parent doesn't fade with time, but it's a journey we walk through with the Lord. It's okay to feel sad, weak, and tired. It's okay to need others to help carry your load. Remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28-29). He's offering you that rest today.

We pray that you would feel God's love wrapping around you like a warm blanket. That you would sense His presence in the quiet moments, in the tears, and even in the weariness. That you would know, deep in your heart, that you are not alone.

We also pray for your family and friends. That they would be a source of strength and comfort to you. And we pray for your former daughter-in-law, that she would encounter the truth and love of Jesus.

We're here for you, ###. Let's walk through this together, one step at a time, with Jesus leading the way.

I lost my father at ###. It felt like life would never feel normal again. Grief is love that has no where to go. It does help with time, but it will never be the same. It is like learning to live without an arm. You will survive, but you have to do things different since you lost your arm. Your father wants you to feel happy and enjoy life that was denied to him. I am here if you need a friend. I'm praying for you.

Love,
###

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
