We join you in this heartfelt cry for your marriage and family and we thank you for bringing these deep burdens before the Lord in Jesus' name.

We hear your desire for more face to face time and for the love of Christ to overflow in your home, and this is the heart of God for a family. As it is written in 2 John 1:12, we long to be together face to face that our joy may be made full, and in Eph 3:17-19 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be filled with all the fullness of God. We pray with you for that Eph 3:20 abundance, that He would do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

We lift up your desire to train up your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. This is your God given calling as a father. Eph 6:4 says Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, and Deut 6:6-7 reminds us that these words shall be on your heart and you shall teach them diligently to your children, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way. We pray for grace and wisdom for you to lead this way, and we pray that your little one will honor both father and mother as commanded in Ex 20:12 and Eph 6:1-3, that it may be well with him and that he may live long on the earth.

We also join you in praying for your wife and for the quality of communication in your marriage. The marriage covenant is holy before God, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and God intends for husband and wife to dwell together in unity, love, and truth. We pray that the Lord will soften and move upon her conscience according to John 16:8, where the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and that she will embrace her calling to do her husband good and not evil all the days of her life as in Prov 31:12. Good communication is built on speaking the truth in love as in Eph 4:15 and being quick to listen and slow to speak as in James 1:19. We encourage you to continue to love your wife even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it in Eph 5:25, and to not be bitter against her as in Col 3:19, leading with gentleness and strength, choosing as for you and your house that you will serve Yahweh as in Josh 24:15.

We hear your prayer to hedge her way with thorns as in Hos 2:6-7 to prevent sin and its bitter consequences, and we agree that God hates sin because it destroys souls and families. If there has been unfaithfulness or the temptation toward fornication or adultery, we must lovingly rebuke and correct, for the Bible is clear that the marriage bed must be kept undefiled and that God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers in Heb 13:4, and that we must flee sexual immorality in 1 Cor 6:18. We pray not out of a desire to condemn but for her salvation and repentance, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth in 1 Tim 2:4 and is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance in 2 Pet 3:9. We pray that any path that would lead to sin, disease, ungodly pregnancies, or eternal destruction away from the presence of the Lord would be blocked by the Lord's mercy, and that she would turn wholeheartedly to Christ and find forgiveness and cleansing in Him.

We stand with you for protection over your child, your wife, her family, and even those in the church who profess faith but live differently the rest of the week as in Tit 1:16 and 2 Tim 3:5. We pray against deception as warned in Matt 24:4, and we ask our Father to deliver your family from temptation as Jesus taught us to pray in Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4. We pray that He will keep you from the evil one as in John 17:15 and that He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways as in Ps 91:11-12. We pray that your son would be protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time as in 1 Pet 1:5, that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his youth as in Luke 1:15, made wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus as in 2 Tim 3:15, and that the evil one would not touch him as in 1 John 5:18, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world as in 1 John 4:4. We remember that there are more with us than with those against us as in 2 Kings 6:16, for He makes His angels winds and His servants flames of fire as in Ps 104:4 and Heb 1:7, and they are all serving spirits sent out to do service for those who will inherit salvation as in Heb 1:14. Our help indeed comes from Yahweh who made heaven and earth as in Ps 121:1-2.

We also pray for you in your weakness, for you have rightly remembered that His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness as in 2 Cor 12:9. Therefore we will gladly boast in weakness that the power of Christ may rest on us. When you feel weak in leading your family, He is strong in you. We agree together as in Matt 18:19, believing that the Lord is not restrained to save by many or by few as in 1 Sam 14:6, and that as we ask in faith we will receive as in Mark 11:24.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together. Let Christ dwell richly in this home and let Your love overflow beyond expectation. Grant this husband wisdom and grace to lead his family in Your nurture and admonition. Move upon his wife's heart with holy conviction, draw her to repentance and salvation, restore godly communication and unity in this marriage, and let their home serve You alone. Put a hedge of thorns around any path of sin and a hedge of protection around this child, that he would be kept from deception, temptation, fear, lies, and the evil one, and be kept blameless for Your coming. Let Your power rest upon this family in their weakness, guard them by Your angels, and help them to train up this child to honor You all his days. We trust You to do greater things than we can ask as in Jer 33:3 and Eph 3:20, and we thank You in advance for what You will do. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We have read your prayer and we hear how much you love your wife and child and want your home to reflect Christ's love. Wanting more unhurried face to face time and clearer, kinder communication is a good and holy desire, and wanting to raise your child with patience and wisdom is exactly the kind of fatherhood God honors.

One thing that often helps when communication feels strained is to keep the invitation simple and predictable. Instead of pressing for long talks, you might ask your wife if there is one short window each week that feels convenient for her, even ten or fifteen minutes with phones aside, where you both can speak and listen without trying to solve everything at once. Approaching it with gentleness and a willingness to listen often opens more doors than pressing for a response. And with your little one, those small daily moments, a story, a prayer, a calm word of instruction, build over time in a way that lasts.

We are standing with you for protection, wisdom and grace for each of you.

Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus' name. Pour Your love into their home, give this husband wisdom and patience, draw his wife and child close to You, guard their hearts and keep them from harm, and help their communication grow in honesty and kindness. Lead them day by day in Your will. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your petition for Christ to dwell in your hearts by faith, that His love might overflow beyond all expectation, and for grace and wisdom to train up your child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, is a prayer after the mind of God and we join our hearts with yours in it.

We pray with you that the Lord would strengthen you to serve Him only, and that in your weakness His strength would be made perfect. The way of godly communication in the home is not found in mere words, but in that indwelling of Christ of which you have written, Ephesians 3:17 to 20. Where Christ reigns within, love overflows without, and the husband and wife who are made one flesh walk as one in purpose and affection. Marriage as God ordained is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where two are made one, and its crown is mutual delight and holy complacency in the Lord. We ask the Lord to make your face to face time more frequent, more convenient and more edifying, that you may speak the truth in love and that your speech may build up the household in holiness, according to Proverbs 31:12 and Ephesians 6:4.

Concerning your prayer for conviction and repentance, we must entreat the Lord for that true repentance which is unto life. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, wrought by fear or by judgment, which does not give God glory and does not last. True repentance is the gift of God and the work of the Holy Spirit in the soul, inseparable from faith in Christ who alone can save. It yields works meet for repentance, it is practical and it endures, it turns the mind and the heart to hate sin because it is sin against a holy and good God, and to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only for remission. We do not pray for a fleeting sorrow, but for that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, which makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the finished work of Christ. In His name alone repentance and remission of sins are preached, and where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness.

Therefore we pray that the Holy Spirit, who convinces of sin and of righteousness, would work in your wife according to John 16:8, not merely hedging the way with thorns as in Hosea 2:6 and 7, though we ask for restraining grace to prevent sin and its bitter fruits and eternal destruction, but also drawing by goodness, for the goodness of God leads to repentance. May the Lord grant a repentance that gives Him glory, that abhors past sin because of the love of Christ which pardons it, and that avoids present sin because of the love of Him who died.

For your little one we join you in asking that he may be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit from his youth, kept from the evil one whom Christ has overcome, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, and that he may early know the Holy Scriptures which are able to make wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. We pray that he may be taught to honor both father and mother, and that you may indeed bring him up in the training and admonition of the Lord, Deuteronomy 6:6 and 7.

For your household and all who are dear to you, we ask protection from deception, temptation, fear and lies, and from the wickedness of the evil one, according to John 17:15 and Psalm 91:11 and 12. Our help comes from the Maker of heaven and earth, and He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. May He guard you from holding a form of godliness while denying the power thereof, and keep you in the simplicity and sincerity which is in Christ.

We lay this burden before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, through whom alone is salvation, trusting that what we ask according to His will He hears, and that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
