Important doctor's appointment

I am about to go into a doctor's appointment that is very important to me, and I would be so grateful if you could pray extra hard for me right now. Please pray that I will experience God's deep peace and comfort through it all. Pray also for favor with the doctor, that they will truly understand my situation, listen to me, and have an open heart to start tapering off my medication. We are standing with you right now as you go into this very important appointment and we are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name.

We understand how weighty this moment feels and how much you are longing for peace and to be truly heard. We pray that the Lord will quiet your heart and fill you with His deep and abiding comfort. The Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also cling to His promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

We also pray for favor with your doctor and for wisdom for both of you regarding tapering your medication. We ask God to give your doctor a listening ear, compassion and clarity, and to guide every decision made today. We know that God can direct hearts, for The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1 and we trust He can open the heart of your doctor as well. We pray for wisdom, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We pray that if it is the Lord's will and it is wise and safe for your health, the doctor will be open to beginning that tapering process, and if the timing is not yet right, that you will have grace to trust His perfect timing and the guidance He gives through medical counsel, for He is the One who heals, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17

Let us pray together. Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus and lift up this dear one to You in this very hour. We ask You to pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding over them, to calm every anxious thought and to let them feel Your comforting presence in that examination room. Lord, we ask for favor, that You would give the doctor understanding, attentiveness and an open heart to truly listen. Grant wisdom to both our friend and the doctor regarding this medication, that every step taken would be safe, wise and honoring to You and for their ultimate good. We ask that Your will be done above all, and that You would be glorified in this appointment. We cast all our worries on You because You care for us. 1 Peter 5:7 In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We noticed your request spoke of God but did not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and Scripture also says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is in His name we pray and have confidence that God hears us, and we are praying that you will know the fullness of that peace and access today.

We encourage you to breathe deeply, to pray even in whispers while you wait, and to trust that whether the answer today is a clear yes to tapering or a call to wait and take slower steps, God is working all things together for your good. Romans 8:28 We are continuing to stand with you and we trust the Lord will give you comfort and guidance through it all.

One small thing that often helps when nerves are high is to bring a short written note with you. Just a few lines in your own words about how you've been feeling, what you hope the doctor understands, and what questions you have about tapering. That way you don't have to remember everything under pressure, and it can make it easier for the doctor to follow your story. If you can, having someone you trust know you're going in can help too, even just to wait with you.

We also encourage you to keep walking closely with your doctor's guidance on any medication changes, sharing openly and following their direction together.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Please pour out Your deep peace and comfort over them in the waiting room and in the conversation itself. Give the doctor attentiveness, understanding and wisdom, and help our friend feel heard and cared for. Guide every next step according to Your will and give clarity and calm in the days ahead. Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders, Pastors, Evangelists, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Even Government, EVEN "ENEMIES" (Enemies are Opportunities to Show our LOVE for Jesus by praying for their salvation, 2 Tim 2:25-26) -- Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly, Eph 6:18-19... Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:15-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the sake of the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Your request has been brought before the Lord and we count it a privilege to stand with you in prayer in this very hour as you go into this important appointment.

We pray that the God who says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, will draw very near to you now. May He keep you in that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. When the heart is stayed upon Christ, though duties press and sorrows surge around, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and there is a rest which this world cannot give and cannot take away.

We ask that you may know this peculiar comfort in your affliction, that comfort which comes from His Word which quickens and sustains. May His Word be your comfort, and may His Spirit so quicken you that you feel His presence as a soft and strengthening hand upon you, giving you a calm mind and a quiet heart while you wait and while you speak.

We pray also for favor in the room where you will meet with your doctor. We ask the Lord to give the physician a listening ear, an understanding mind and an open heart, with wisdom to hear you fully and to weigh your situation with care and compassion. We pray that the Lord will ordain peace for you there, and guide every word spoken and every counsel given, that what is decided may be for your true good and health, according to His wise and gracious will. If it be His will to begin the tapering of your medication, we pray He will make the way plain and give both you and your doctor confidence and clarity, and if another path is wiser, we pray He will give you grace to trust His hand.

May the Lord comfort your heart and establish you, and keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus until you come forth from this appointment upheld by His mercy. We leave you in His keeping, trusting that whether in the waiting room or in the consultation, you are safe in Jesus, and that His peace, which passes all understanding, shall rest upon you.

We are praying that God will give you His deep peace and comfort that comes through Jesus Christ. This is the peace He promised to leave with us, not as the world gives, but a steady peace that guards our hearts and minds even in anxious moments. May you sense His presence with you in the waiting room and in the conversation with the doctor, and may His grace be with you.
