Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in lifting your son before the Lord Jesus Christ in this very hour, and we thank you for entrusting us with this burden. Your love for him and your cry for mercy are heard by the Father who has made us sons through Christ and has given us His Spirit.
We pray with you that the Lord, who alone can deliver from evil and supply every good thing, would draw near to your son in that hospital room. May Christ Himself bring calm where there is chaos, light where there is confusion, and peace where there is fear. We ask Him to quiet distressing thoughts, to guard your son from harm, to grant him rest, and to let him know in a real way that he is not abandoned but held in the hands of the Good Shepherd.
We also pray for the doctors and specialists caring for him. May God grant them wisdom, clarity, and discernment to choose the right treatments and medications that will bring relief and help restore his mind and body. And we pray for you, that the Lord will sustain you with strength and endurance, and keep your heart in His peace as you stand faithfully by your son. He knows your weariness and He is able to renew you day by day as you continue to hear His word and trust His promises.
Do not lose hope. Even when healing comes slowly, the Lord is at work. Continue to bring your son before Him, continue to seek skilled care, and continue to rest in the mercy of Christ who suffered to make us children of God.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this young man. Touch his mind and body, calm his spirit, and bring healing according to Your will. Comfort his parent and give peace that passes understanding. We place him fully in Your gracious hands and trust in Your power to restore. Amen.
