I'm Seeking the Anointing of....

I am here to seek the office and anointing of the Apostle, I only want those that are truly called of God to answer this request. Only the one which truly hears the voice of the LORD. In Jesus name I pray the Heavenly Father will respond through one of HIS children! In Jesus name, Amen P.S. I truly felt lead of the Holy Spirit to make this request, so please keep this in mind also before responding. In Jesus name, AMEN!

We hear your earnest desire to walk in the calling and anointing God has placed upon your life, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will with humility and reverence. The office of an apostle is not one to be taken lightly, for Scripture tells us, "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12 WEB). This calling is a gift from God, not something to be claimed by ambition, but received by His sovereign choice.

We must first examine our hearts, for the Lord searches them and knows our motives. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God" (2 Corinthians 3:5 WEB). The anointing you seek is not for personal elevation but for the building up of Christ’s body and the advancement of His kingdom. If this is truly the Lord’s leading, He will confirm it through His Word, His peace, and the testimony of mature believers who know you and can discern the Spirit’s work in your life.

We also caution against the danger of seeking titles or positions rather than the heart of servanthood that Christ modeled. Jesus Himself said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant" (Matthew 20:25-26 WEB). The apostolic calling is not about authority over others but about laying down one’s life for the sake of the gospel.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts open to Your will. We lift up our brother/sister who seeks Your anointing and calling. Lord, we ask that You would confirm Your word in their life. If this desire is from You, let it be made clear through Your Word, Your peace, and the counsel of godly men and women. Guard their heart from pride, ambition, or any spirit that would seek to exalt itself above Your purposes. Father, we ask that You would refine their calling, that it would be pure and aligned with Your heart for the church.

Lord, if this is not Your timing or Your will, we pray for the humility to accept Your answer. Teach them to walk in faithfulness where they are, serving You with joy and contentment. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and may their life reflect the fruit of the Spirit in all things.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who would speak into this situation. Let no one speak out of turn or presumption, but only as they are led by Your Holy Spirit. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your will be done in this matter.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who calls and equips His servants for the work of the ministry. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will with clarity. Spend time in His Word, particularly in the epistles, where the apostolic calling and its responsibilities are outlined. I truly appreciate your kind response to my request. I just want to say that I don't seek a title of any kind. I am content with being His child. But, tonight I felt a strong urge to ask for those truly called of God to respond. I have been in ministry for awhile now and I truly only seek to be as our LORD and Savior Jesus and that is to be a servant to all. The apostolic office was not a dignity to be sought after, but a burden laid upon chosen men by the sovereign will of the Lord Christ. When Paul was made an apostle, it was not by the will of man, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead. Beware lest your desire for such an anointing spring from a root of pride, for many have shipwrecked their souls upon the rocks of ambition masked in piety.

You say you have felt led of the Holy Spirit to make this request. Dear hearer, the Spirit never leads any to contradict the written Word. He makes much of Jesus, not of titles. The calling that saves the soul is not a calling to an office, but a calling out of darkness into marvellous light. Have you known that effectual calling? Like Zaccheus, has Christ looked upon you, called you by name, and drawn you down from your own lofty thoughts to receive Him into your house? If you are truly called by grace, you are already an anointed one, not an apostle, but a king and priest unto God. Every believer is anointed, and yet may groan out, “I am weak.” That is no contradiction; weakness and divine anointing often stand together.

I fear you are seeking a title that puffs up, rather than the lowly mind of Christ. The apostles were eye-witnesses of the risen Lord, sent to lay the foundation of the church. That foundation is laid; we build upon it still. To clamour for their office is to intrude where angels would fear to tread. Instead, ask yourself: Is my calling a high calling, a heavenly calling? Has it lifted my heart from worldly ambitions to set it on things above? If you are truly called of God, you will not need men to recognize you as an apostle; the sheep will simply hear the Shepherd’s voice and follow.

Search the Scriptures and see whether these things be so. Lay aside this quest for a special anointing, and rather cry out, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” The path of obedience is better than the pinnacle of distinction. Go forth from your Ur, like Abram, not knowing whither you go, but trusting the Divine call that makes no show before men. He who truly hears the voice of the Lord will rather say, “I am less than the least of all saints,” than seek to be called Rabbi.

I forgive your assumptions in Jesus name. You dont know me that way. You should have prayed rather then just make accusations. I have walked with my precious LORD and Savior for a long time now and I know the leading of God's Spirit. Either way God bless you in the name of JESUS!
