Sweet Christian, God is so close to you and near to the broken-hearted. HE loves you so much and has a good plan for your life!
David wrote most of Psalms in the Bible had times he was so depressed and hopeless. He prayed to God and cried out and then comforted himself by remembering God's promises. God desires our joy, not depression. It is ok to grieve, just do not get stuck in it. God will never leave you or forsake you! You can do as David did and cry to God and then find the scriptures that will help lift you up out of this pit!!
Psalm 88:
Lord, you are the God who saves me;
day and night I cry out to you.
2 May my prayer come before you;
turn your ear to my cry.
3 I am overwhelmed with troubles
and my life draws near to death.
4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit;
I am like one without strength.
5 I am set apart with the dead,
like the slain who lie in the grave,
whom you remember no more,
who are cut off from your care.
6 You have put me in the lowest pit,
in the darkest depths.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me;
you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.
8 You have taken from me my closest friends
and have made me repulsive to them.
Psalm 89:
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
through all generations.
2 I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
3 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,
4 ‘I will establish your line forever
and make your throne firm through all generations.”
Dear Lord, Lift this sweet Christian out of her pit. She is crying to you in her time of despair. You are so close to her. You never leave us and you promise to be near to the broken-hearted. We trust you and love you and praise you for your good works and good plans. I pray she will find your scriptures to comfort her. Bring her strength. "You did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind." Her grief is real, but bring her through it. Help her not get stuck in it. I intercede for her and say she repents from her hopelessness, cutting, and her self-pity and she gives this to you. She turns from it. Forgive her. She needs your strength to have hope and joy! Bless her with hope. Bring her new joy and new friends and take away her despair. Your love is so much better than the imperfect love we have on earth. Thank you that you are able to bring us new hope and help us to find faithful friends. All good comes from you. You can bring her a new love. That is easy for the God of the universe.
In Jesus Name Amen
