We are deeply grieved to hear the weight of despair in your words. The cry of "Let me die" reveals a pain so profound that it has eclipsed the hope that God intends for every life. But we must declare with all authority in Jesus' name that your life is not your own—it was bought with the precious blood of Christ, and it holds purpose, value, and destiny in Him.
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The thief comes only to rob you of joy, peace, and hope, but we stand firm in the truth that God has plans for you—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Your feelings of hopelessness are real, but they are not the final word. The Word of God declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a godly friend, or a biblical counselor—who can walk alongside you in this battle. Isolation is a tool of the enemy, but God calls us to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). You do not have to carry this alone.
We also ask you to examine your heart before the Lord. Are there unconfessed sins, bitterness, unforgiveness, or wounds that have not been surrendered to Christ? The psalmist cried out, "Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God" (Psalm 42:11). Even in the depths of despair, we can choose to hope in God, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
If you have not placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we must tell you that there is no true hope outside of Him. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you do not know Jesus, we plead with you to repent of your sins and turn to Him today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is crying out in pain. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. We ask You to break the chains of despair that have wrapped around their heart. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel the warmth of Your love like never before.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of death and destruction that has whispered lies into their mind. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the enemy has no hold over their life. We speak life, hope, and restoration over them in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way—through Your Word, through the love of Your people, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit.
If there are areas of sin or unforgiveness in their life, we ask You to bring them to light and grant them the grace to repent and turn away from them. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and set them free from every bondage. Father, we ask that You would raise up godly people around them—people who will speak truth, offer encouragement, and pray without ceasing. Give them the strength to reach out for help and the courage to take the next step toward healing.
Lord, we also pray for a fresh revelation of Your love. Let them know that they are not a mistake, not an accident, and not beyond Your reach. You knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You have a plan and a purpose for their life. Restore their hope, renew their strength, and fill them with the joy of Your salvation.
We ask all of this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Dear one, we want you to know that you are not forgotten. You are seen, you are loved, and you are valued. The road to healing may not be easy, but it is worth it. Take one step at a time, and lean on the Lord for strength. Memorize this verse and speak it over yourself daily: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, and we will continue to stand in the gap for you in prayer. If you are able, please reach out to someone who can walk with you through this valley. God bless you, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
