Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for life, for normalcy and for covering over your family, friends and even your pets is heard, and it is right to bring that desire before the Lord who is the giver of life.
It is good to remember what the Scripture teaches about where true life and protection come from. Jesus through His death on the cross has redeemed the world to God and He is the rightful King, God's anointed. Yet for a time Satan is still allowed to exert influence in this world, holding by force what is no longer rightfully his. Like a king who has been rejected by God but still sits on the throne and tries to keep the true anointed king from taking his place, Satan acts as a defeated foe who has not yet been fully removed. He knows his time is short and so he works as a deceiver, questioning God's Word, contradicting it, and seeking to blind minds so people cannot see the truth clearly.
That is why the cross is so central. There Jesus destroyed the power of sin and death. The Bible says He suffered death so that through death He might deliver us from the power of Satan and from the penalty of sin, triumphing over those powers and making an open display of His victory. Our victory does not come from our own strength or from words we speak, but from what Christ has already finished. In Him we have authority to resist the enemy, and when we stand in Christ's victory the enemy must flee. We are not unaware of his schemes, for he is crafty and seeks to rule through sin, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
You spoke of favor and of being highly favored. Scripture shows that favor with God is not something we earn by our own effort. It is grace, a gift given through Jesus. We cannot earn it, but we receive it when we submit our lives to be ruled by Christ. And when we do, we are made alive in Him. The Bible defines true death as separation from God. To be alive in Christ means you will never be separated from God, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for the one who belongs to Him. Those who live only for themselves are described as dead while they still live, but those in Christ have passed from death to life.
You also asked that Satan be bound and his evil stopped by the blood of Jesus. That is a right prayer when it is a claiming of Christ's victory, not a trust in our own power. Sin is the exercise of our will against God's will, and victory comes as we submit our will to His. Jesus was obedient even to the death of the cross, praying not my will but Yours be done, and through that obedience He secured the victory we now claim. God desires meaningful love from you, and love requires real choice. He has given people free will, and that is why evil is still present in the world. God does not cause evil, but He allows choice, and He has provided the way of freedom through Christ so that the blinding influence of the enemy can be lifted and each person can freely choose Him.
So I pray for you now that the Lord will guard you and your household, your family, friends and pets, and grant you the normal, peaceful life you long for in His will. May He cover you with His protection, fill your home with His peace, and establish you in the life that is truly life in Christ. May He lift any blinding influence and strengthen you to walk in submission to Jesus, ruling over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit within you. May you know deeply that you are loved and favored not because you have earned it, but because Christ has purchased you with His blood, and may you live in that grace, in privacy and peace, according to the Lord's good design for you.
May the Lord keep you, cause His face to shine upon you, and give you rest in the finished victory of Jesus.
