I was pondering for a moment why some people seem to just ask and receive, and others battle and battle through. Just some of those deeper thoughts that I am sure many of you ponder or question God about. His word states, “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth Him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him.†(Acts 10:34) “… God shows no personal favoritism to no man ….†(Galatians 2:6) “For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.†(Deuteronomy 10:17) HIS WORD - so why do we sometimes feel like God moves faster and mightier for others then He does for us? I heard Pastor McClendon say that he does not even have to ask for miracles, they just seem to rain down on him, yet others press and press for them, yet God states He is no respecter of persons. This may be the answer, one last scripture concerning God being no respecter of persons. “And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work … †(1 Peter 1:17) Without partiality judges according to each one's work? Let me give you one more just to brace this up. Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Some of you run into this ministry and you post your prayer requests so that we can pray for you, but then you go out after posting and never pray for anyone else. The ratio of those posting requests here and those praying over those requests are drastic. Are your requests before God just malingering and it feels like they are bouncing off the walls? Well, they are not bouncing off the walls, God hears them and He hears us praying for you, but by what measure are you as a child of God running on. According to each one's work does God judge and measure out...think about it, how are your works measuring up in comparison to the needs you seek God for? He is not a respecter of persons, and He will bring response to your needs, but by what measure would you like God to respond to your needs. Do you want a trickle here and there, or do you want a Jehovah Perazim response? What is a Jehovah Perazim response, Jehovah Perazim, The Lord my Breakthrough as a flood. You want a flood breakthrough from God, then seriously maybe you need to start flooding forth in the measure that you give and use ti flow out.
Part of the problem in this area is that the Body of Christ is divided into one of two main camps. In the one camp is the Christian who has fully surrendered his entire life over to the Lord and is willing to enter into God’s perfect plan and destiny for his life. This person is working it for the Lord, working for the body of the Lords kingdom. As a result of making this kind of full surrender to the Lord, God is now working and building up this person’s life to its maximum capabilities and possibilities in this life. This fully surrendered Christian has a very active and powerful walk with the Lord as a result of being willing to come into this full surrender with the Him and the willingness to devote time to serving Him. Then by the measure they invest in serving Him and His people, He serves back out to them. And then you have the second camp, which is where I believe most Christians are living in today – and that is out of the perfect will of God for their lives. In other words, they have never made that full surrender with the Lord where He would be the One to fully guide and direct their lives into the specific directions that He would want it to go in. They drop to their knees seeking Gods help when things go wrong, but they do not take much time for God otherwise. They rush into prayer ministries seeking prayer and dash back out, probably to more and more prayer ministries to post their requests thinking the more they get praying for them, the faster and more powerfully God will reply..because even through they wont put much effort into it, all those other peoples efforts will bring their blessing. Wrong folks. Hear me! Your measure that God brings to you will not be based on the measure that others put out making request for your need. Those others will receive the measure for their efforts, not you. You will only receive by the measure you put out. It would serve you well to stop running from one ministry to another with a need, looking for quantity, and stopping at one and putting forth your measure into the body of Christ. Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
A result of this extreme contrast between these two camps, you have Christians who are walking in this second camp, which is out of the perfect will of God for their lives, not working and measuring out, wondering why the fully surrendered Christian is getting all of the good activity and blessings in their lives and they are not getting anywhere in their lives with the Lord, or getting it in trickles here and there.
Also, I want to note that praying for others in not just for the purpose of seeking God in intercession for them, that agreement over a need, but it is also intended to edify the body of Christ..meaning to lift that person in need up. I understand that everyone has their manner of praying. Some like to bow their heads and pray, and then make a notation that they prayed for them. I want you to think about this however. What edifies the person in need, which is a big part of intercession? What edifies them is the confidence in their heart that you truly prayed for them, and the words of uplifting them before God. What is soothing to their hearts and what gives them strength in their need? Edifies them and raises their faith and confidence that God hears your agreement and prayer? What does this is their actually hearing (in this case reading and speaking along with you) your prayer. This is not to judge those who do quick notations, we are all grateful for your praying for others. I just beseech the intercessors to also edify the requesters when they respond, for again this falls into how you measure out, how you work for God, which is praying for others and edifying others in the body of Christ. 1 Cor 14:3 But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation. 14:16 Otherwise if you bless in the spirit only, how will the one who fills the place of the ungifted say the “Amen†at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying? 17 For you are giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not edified. These verses pertained to praying, worshiping, and speaks of praying in the spirit, tongues, and those we are praying for are not edified if they do not know what we are praying over them. Prayer that is given face to face with the person edifies, they hear and therefore feel the anointing of that prayer for them. Likewise, when that situation is not available, such as on intercessory prayer boards where we are not gathered together in the flesh, but praying from our individual places and in type, we meet the same situation this passage speaks of, the person being prayed for does not know what you are praying. 14:16 Otherwise if you bless in the spirit only, how will the one who fills the place of the ungifted say the “Amen†at your giving of thanks, since he does not know what you are saying? 17 For you are giving thanks well enough, but the other person is not edified. If they cannot hear you (or read) or know what you are praying, they cannot say Amen or feel edified.
This may not make some of you happy with me, but I am just imparting the truths of God, the word of God, so you will have to take that unhappiness up with Him I guess. It is my appointment to give the truths, and when He presses upon me to speak His truths, I have to speak them. If you want a good measure for your need, then measure out with good measure. Measure is not only quantity, but quality as well, so I ask that everyone do a check of your measuring. God bless you.
