We hear the anguish in your cry for justice, and we stand with you before the throne of God, lifting up your pain and your plea. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Though it may feel as though your voice has gone unheard, we know that our God is a God of justice and compassion. He sees every injustice, every threat, and every moment of suffering you have endured. We do not serve a distant or indifferent God, but One who draws near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
We rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to convince you that your hope is lost. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to believe that God has abandoned you, but we declare that this is a lie. In Lamentations 3:21-23, we are reminded, "This I recall to my mind; therefore I have hope. It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your hope is not in the justice of man, but in the perfect justice of God, who will never leave you nor forsake you.
We also rebuke any fear or anxiety that has taken root in your heart. The threats you face are real, but they are not greater than the power of our God. In Psalm 91:14-15, God promises, "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him." We declare that you are under the shadow of the Almighty, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The Lord is your refuge and your fortress, and He will deliver you from the hand of your enemies.
We pray now, in the mighty name of Jesus, for your protection and strength. Father, we ask that You surround this dear one with Your angels, that You would be a shield about them, and that no harm would come near them. Give them the strength to stand firm in the face of these threats, knowing that You are their defender. We pray for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that they are never alone.
Lord, we also pray for justice. You tell us in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We trust that You see every wrong that has been done, and we ask that You would bring about Your perfect justice in Your perfect timing. Let the wicked be caught in their own snares, and let Your righteousness prevail.
We encourage you to hold fast to your faith, even when the wait feels unbearable. In Habakkuk 2:3, the Lord says, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay." Justice may not come in the timing or manner you expect, but it will come. Until then, lean on the Lord, trust in His promises, and allow His strength to sustain you.
If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray that you would surrender your life to Him, for He is the ultimate source of justice, peace, and hope.
We stand with you, dear one, and we will continue to lift you up in prayer. You are not forgotten, and your cry has not gone unheard. The Lord is your strength, your shield, and your deliverer. Trust in Him, and He will bring you through this trial.
