I have betray d my family many times.
Kindly allow my family to see the best side of me again, in the remaining years I may have.
Thank You God in the name of Jesus
Amen

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope in the redemptive power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your plea for forgiveness is heard, and we stand with you in this moment of repentance, knowing that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). The darkness you feel is not the end of your story, for God’s Word declares, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it" (John 1:5). We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

Your acknowledgment of betrayal toward your family is a painful but necessary step toward healing. The weight of broken trust is heavy, but we serve a God who specializes in restoration. We pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of your family members, that they may see the transformation the Holy Spirit is working in you. "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). Let this be your prayer daily, trusting that God is at work even when the evidence is not yet visible.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that whisper you are beyond redemption or that your family will never see you differently. The truth is, "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your past does not define you, Christ does. We encourage you to walk in humility and patience, allowing God to reveal His love and faithfulness through your actions. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your endless mercy and grace. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You hear the cries of the repentant. Lord, we ask that You would wash over them with Your forgiveness, cleansing them from all unrighteousness. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light and reflect Your love to their family.

Father, we pray for restoration in their relationships. Soften the hearts of their family members, that they may see the work You are doing in their life. Give them opportunities to demonstrate Your love and grace through their words and actions. Help them to be patient and persistent in seeking reconciliation, always pointing others to You.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of shame and condemnation that seeks to keep them bound. Remind them daily that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Strengthen them to resist temptation and to walk in the newness of life You have given them.

We thank You, Father, for the promise of new beginnings. May our brother/sister continue to seek You with all their heart, mind, and soul, trusting in Your perfect plan for their life. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to press into God’s Word, for it is "a lamp to our feet and a light to our path" (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and hold you accountable. Remember, "He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). Your journey of redemption is not over, it is just beginning.

We can feel the ache behind your words, the heavy knowledge of betrayal, the longing to be lifted out of darkness, and the hope that your family might still see the best in you. Please know this: when we come to God with a heart that is genuinely sorry and ask for mercy, He does not turn us away. The forgiveness you’ve asked for is already yours in Christ, complete and sure. The darkness often lingers in our emotions even after we’ve been forgiven, but that doesn’t mean God hasn’t heard you or that His light isn’t already breaking through. Healing happens one step at a time.

One simple, real way to begin stepping out of that darkness is to start showing your family small acts of the kindness you long for them to recognize. You don’t need to force a big conversation or instantly earn back their trust. Today or tomorrow, you might offer a genuine word of appreciation, quietly help with something they’re carrying, or leave a short note that says you are grateful for them. These little gestures don’t undo the past, but they plant seeds of trust and let God’s love work through your imperfect hands. Over time, consistent love has a way of softening hearts, your own included.

Lord Jesus, thank You that no sin is beyond Your forgiveness. When shame tries to pull this one back into darkness, steady their heart with Your nearness. Give them courage to love their family in tangible, everyday ways. Let those they have hurt begin to see the genuine change You are nurturing, and restore hope in these relationships. In Your name we pray, amen.

The very repetition in your cry, "I, even I", echoes a surprising truth. It is not a minor thing for the Holy One to pardon transgression, yet He speaks as if He Himself is astonished that such sins should be remitted. It is so great a wonder that He declares it twice, lest any broken heart should doubt. If you have been the chief of sinners, there is the chief of sinner’s forgiveness, and He can bestow it now.

You speak of betraying your family, and that word is a spear-thrust. But do not the Psalms find their most exact fulfillment in our Master's own betrayal? He was acquainted with that grief in full measure. It was ordained that the sin of man should reach its culminating point there, yet from that very act the river of forgiveness flowed. That treachery bought with silver did not cut you off; the blood it shed purchased pardon for all treachery. Where the offense went, from that very place the forgiveness comes. There is forgiveness with God, not apart from Him, but in His very heart.

As for your family seeing the best side of you again, the best thing is not a reformed exterior but the law of God hidden in the heart. The best place for it is within, where it loves holiness. The best result is that none of your steps shall slide. The ruling passion that proves true in death is Christ Himself, dearer than those we love best on earth. When you lay hold of this full, eternal forgiveness given for Christ’s sake, you find that in resting most, you work best. It oftentimes pleases Him to grant the smile of restored fellowship so that while you are resting in grace you bear quiet fruit before those who watch your life. Do your best to make even the ungodly around you happy; this is the only portion they can have unless they too repent. Let this divine absolution produce in you a daily, continuous, mutual forgiving toward your own household, a joint-stock business of forbearance, as natural as opening your hand.

Let this certainty drive out every grim despair. The text draws no limit: "There is forgiveness." It does not say for this sin or for that, so do not you draw a boundary. Come boldly from your darkness. That sentence of Christ on earth contains no conditions for the repenting and believing sinner; it is absolute. Behold, the record of your debt is nailed to the Cross. He has given the best pledge by giving His dear Son. Therefore, though your own self-righteousness be slow to die, shot through the heart seven times, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. Let the past go into the sea of forgetfulness. You are absolutely, irreversibly, eternally forgiven, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He never plays fast and loose with men. Go now, bear the lily of the valleys with you into your home, and walk in the light of it.
