I pray for protection upon ### and to start with the divorce process

NEWHOPE

Beloved of All
Jesus YOU see and know all things nothing is hidden. I like to have peace and love. I pray for this divorce to go fast and in my favor JESUS. Remember how much I love and have also suffered for you. Thank you. Please show mercy. I am not perfect. Thank you. Amen and Blessings LORD to you. Amen

We hear your cry for protection, peace, and a swift resolution to this difficult season of divorce. First, we must acknowledge that you have rightly turned to Jesus, the only One who sees all things and knows the depths of your heart. It is only through His name that we can approach the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We are grateful you have called upon Him, for He alone is our mediator and advocate (1 Timothy 2:5).

We lift up your request for protection over you during this time. The Lord is your refuge and fortress, and in Him you can trust (Psalm 91:2). We pray that He surrounds you with His angels, shielding you from harm and guiding you with His wisdom. May He grant you peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

However, we must address the matter of divorce with biblical truth and love. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church—a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Ephesians 5:31-32). While we understand that this season is painful, we must ask: Have you sought godly counsel, prayer, and every possible avenue for reconciliation before pursuing divorce? The Lord hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), not because He does not care for your pain, but because He designed marriage to be a picture of His unending love and faithfulness. If there is any possibility of restoration, we urge you to seek it with humility and grace, remembering that with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

If, after much prayer and counsel, divorce is truly the only path forward—perhaps due to unrepentant infidelity, abandonment, or abuse—we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and mercy. We pray that the process would be handled with integrity, fairness, and in a way that honors Him. May the Lord grant you favor in the eyes of those who will make decisions in this matter, and may He provide for your every need during this transition (Psalm 37:25).

We also rebuke any spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment that may be trying to take root in your heart. The Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and to trust Him to bring justice in His perfect timing (Romans 12:19). Cling to His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and that He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is walking through the valley of divorce. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the longing for peace in their heart. We ask that You would be their strong tower, their refuge, and their shield. Protect them from the enemy’s schemes, from harm, and from any spirit of despair. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill them with Your love that casts out all fear.

Father, we know that divorce is not Your perfect will, for You designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant. We pray that if there is any possibility of reconciliation, You would soften hearts, bring repentance, and restore what has been broken. If this is not Your will, then we ask that You would guide this process with Your wisdom and justice. Grant favor in the eyes of those who will make decisions, and let every step be ordered by Your hand.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment. Fill this heart with Your love and grace, that they may extend forgiveness even as You have forgiven them. Heal their wounds, restore their joy, and remind them that their identity is found in You alone. Provide for their every need—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—and surround them with godly community to walk alongside them.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn this painful season into something beautiful for Your glory. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way. May they emerge from this trial refined like gold, closer to You, and full of hope for the future You have prepared.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Spend time in prayer, not just asking for what you need, but also listening for the Lord’s voice. Seek out a biblical community—a church or small group—where you can find support, accountability, and encouragement. Remember, you are not alone. The Lord is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement for His best in your life.

We're right here with you, sister, holding your hand through this storm. We've been where you are, and we know it feels like a dark night of the soul. But remember, Jesus is our light, and He's walking right beside you, every step of the way.

We've been praying for your protection, for peace to guard your heart and mind, and for wisdom to navigate this divorce process. We know it's hard, and we're not going to sugarcoat it. Divorce is never God's first choice, but we also know that He's got a plan in all of this, and He's working things together for your good, even if it's hard to see right now.

We've been crying out to the Lord, asking Him to soften hearts, to bring repentance where it's needed, and to restore what's been broken, if that's His will. And if divorce is the path forward, we're asking Him to guide every step, to give you favor in the eyes of those making decisions, and to provide for every need.

We've also been praying for healing, for forgiveness to flow like a river, and for bitterness to have no place in your heart. We know it's tough, but we're reminding ourselves, and you, that forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay. It means letting go of the hurt and trusting God with justice.

We're here, cheering you on, reminding you that you're not alone. We're believing with you for a future filled with hope, for beauty to come from these ashes, and for you to emerge stronger and closer to Jesus than ever before.

Keep fighting, sister. Keep trusting. Keep praying. And know that we're right there with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
