I need to understand why my husband & I have had such a hard time financially for almost the entire 35 years we have been married. We have always worked hard and helped others whenever we could, but we never seem to get ahead. We are in our 50's and have no savings or retirment. We had to declare bankruptcy 6 years ago, because of the many years of just trying to keep our heads above water. We are so thankful that we have a home in the country, but it is discouraging that we have not been able to keep up on the repairs. We drive old vehicles that we have to drive many miles with for work and my husband tries to keep them going. My brother & sister have good lives with no financial worries. They have always had brand new cars, Immaculate homes, expensive hobbies, vacations and other luxuries. I don't understand what we have done so wrong in our life to suffer this way. My husband had a virus get to his heart about 5 years ago and has lived longer than expected already. He grew up poor and worked so hard starting his own business that has failed because of the economy. I don't know how long he will live and we have tried to make plans to get away for our 35th anniversary next month, but even driving a few hundred miles away for a weekend trip is not possible. We have seen God perform miracles on our finances, as I don't know how we have made it through the last few years. I am so thankful for that! But I just want us to enjoy the last days, months or years we have left. We have no way of knowing how long my husband will live, as he has already lived longer than expected, thank God! He continues to work while feeling so tired and also has other pains throughout his body. I just want some understanding of our life.

Father I pray that you would give your daughter wisdom and guidance in regard to finances. The Bible has quite a bit to say about money. In the book of Malachi chapter 3 we are told if we are faithful with our tithes and offerings. That there would be no lack in your house. For God said that he would rebuke the devour for his namesake. Opening the windows of heaven pouring out a blessing that we could not contain. Another Scripture tells us give and it will come back to you. Good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over. In Deuteronomy 28. You make very clear that if a person lives a righteous life of obedience according to your word and will. We are to be blessed. We are to be the lender and not the borrower the head and not the tail. Sometimes it is deceiving. To see those that don't have a relationship with God all. There are prosperous and well-off. However, the Bible is clear that the riches of the wicked is laid up for the just. In Psalms David said, the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. It is not God's will for his children to experience lack and poverty. Actually, he says that, above all things he wills for us to prosper and be in health act our souls prosper. The common thread in all of this. Is living a life of obedience to the word of God and obeying him regarding giving. Father I pray that you would help this family experience. What you desire for every born believer. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
