Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you have endured these past months. Your words show both deep suffering and real faith, and we have heard your cry. You have walked through emergency visits, hospital stays, rehabilitation, intense pain that left you unable to work, needing help from paramedics, and seasons of feeling abandoned and misjudged even by family. At the same time you have given thanks that God has been present with you in those hard places, and you continue to cry out to Jesus Christ for healing. We join you in that thanksgiving and in that prayer.
We are praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and hope for healing both for the body and the soul. We ask God to bring healing according to His perfect will and timing, to give wisdom and compassion to your doctors and therapists, to provide the right treatment and medication, and to strengthen your body day by day. We also pray that He will sustain your faith as you wait, so that even while you ask and seek and knock, you can rest in His love and trust His goodness whether healing comes quickly, gradually, or in the life to come where every pain will finally be gone.
Your desire to keep praying and fasting and seeking the Lord is good, and Scripture calls us to persevere in prayer. At the same time, God often uses ordinary means to care for us, including medicine, rehabilitation, and provision for the health of the body. The Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to use a little wine for his stomach and his frequent ailments, which reminds us that caring for the body for health is not a lack of faith but a proper stewardship of the body God has given. Please do not give up on medical care or feel that trusting God means refusing the help He provides through doctors, therapy, and needed equipment. We pray God will open the door for what you need for strengthening, whether that is therapy, an exercise bike, or other resources, and that He will provide for your daily needs while you are without income.
We also hear your heart for your marriage, and we thank God for the love, devotion and commitment you and your husband share. Marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman is a gift from God, and intimacy within that covenant is holy. We pray God will protect and deepen your bond, guard it from discouragement and strain, and restore joy, laughter and closeness as you both walk through this trial together.
We hear too the pain of feeling alone, of being misunderstood when you sought help, of living with limited support and relying on food assistance while waiting on disability and other claims. God sees you in that place. He is not distant when you feel abandoned. We pray He will surround you with faithful people who understand your condition, who will offer practical help without judgment, and that He will provide for your housing, food, and finances in ways that show His care. We pray for favor and fairness in your insurance, disability, and legal matters, and for peace as you wait.
One word from Scripture that has comforted many in suffering is the word of Jesus to the man He healed, Behold, thou art made whole, sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. This is not to say that every illness is caused by a particular sin, for many faithful people suffer greatly. It is a loving call to remember that God cares most for the healing of the soul, and sometimes He allows the body to be tried so that the soul may be drawn closer to Him. As you pray for your body to be made whole, continue also to ask Him to search your heart, to forgive sin, to strengthen you in holiness, and to make you whole in Christ. The greatest healing is to be reconciled to God and to walk with Him each day.
So we will pray for you, ###, that God will lift your pain, restore your strength so you can walk without help, provide for your needs, comfort you in loneliness, and keep you and your husband rooted in His love. Keep crying out to Him with thanksgiving, keep trusting His Word, keep walking in obedience, and keep receiving the help He provides through His people and through proper care. He hears you, He has not forgotten you, and He will be faithful to carry you through.
