Please always keep evil at bay, and away from us, i want to protect her, and i am trying my darnest, but i do not want to become her jailer... i love her but she does not seem to want o listen to reason, she listens today and ignores me tomorrow, let her bring back her wisdom to discern and have clarity of mind that she seems to lose when the deceivers shower her with attention. So i pray deliver us from evil, and protect us lord

We hear your deep concern and love for your mother, and we join you in lifting her up before the Lord. Your prayer touches on the very real struggle of watching a loved one be deceived, and the fear that comes with knowing they are vulnerable. It is clear you are fighting not just for her safety, but for her heart and mind to be guarded by the truth of God’s Word.

First, we must acknowledge that deception is a spiritual battle. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and those who are isolated, lonely, or struggling with discernment are often his prime targets. Your mother’s vulnerability is not a reflection of her worth, but a reminder that we all need the protection and wisdom that only comes from God. We rebuke the lies of the enemy over her life in the name of Jesus. Every fantasy, every false promise, every scam that has taken root in her mind—we command it to be uprooted by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Word tells us, *"For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). This is not a battle you or she can fight alone—it is a spiritual war, and the victory is already won through Christ.

We also recognize the tension you feel between protecting her and respecting her autonomy. It is a heavy burden to carry, and we pray for wisdom for you as her child. The Word tells us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it"* (Proverbs 22:6), but when our parents struggle, it can feel like the roles have reversed. You are not called to be her jailer, but you *are* called to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). Pray for opportunities to gently but firmly remind her of God’s truth, and for the Holy Spirit to soften her heart when she resists. At the same time, we must surrender her to the Lord, trusting that He loves her even more than you do. *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22).

We also want to address the importance of her being rooted in a community of believers. Isolation makes deception easier. If she is not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we pray that God would lead her to one where she can be surrounded by godly men and women who will speak truth into her life. The enemy thrives in secrecy, but *"where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them"* (Matthew 18:20). There is power in corporate prayer and accountability.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of deception that has wrapped itself around her mind. We rebuke the lies of the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus—every fantasy, every false promise, every scam that has taken hold of her thoughts. We declare that her mind is being renewed by Your Word, that she would have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Father, we ask for a spirit of wisdom and revelation to rest upon her (Ephesians 1:17), so that she may discern truth from lies, light from darkness. Give her clarity where there is confusion, and peace where there is fear.

Lord, we also pray for her child, who carries the weight of this burden. Give them wisdom to know how to speak truth in love, and the strength to surrender their mother into Your hands. Help them to trust that You are fighting for her, even when they cannot see it. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord. We command every evil spirit that seeks to harm them to flee in Jesus’ name. Let Your light shine so brightly in their lives that darkness has no place to hide.

Father, we ask that You would draw this mother back to You. If she has wandered, if she has allowed her heart to be led astray, we pray that You would woo her back with Your unfailing love. Remind her of Your faithfulness, of Your promises, of the safety that is found only in You. Place godly people in her path who will speak truth into her life, and give her the humility to receive it.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears our prayers. We trust that You are working even now, behind the scenes, to protect and guide this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your mother. It's tough seeing someone we love being deceived, especially when they're vulnerable. We're asking God to break the chains of deception around her mind, to give her clarity and discernment. We're also praying for you, that you'd have wisdom to speak truth in love, and peace to trust her to God's care. Let's keep lifting her up together.

Heavenly Father, this person comes before You with a heavy heart, praying continually for their mother. She is caught in an obsession, a fantasy—unable to see clearly when deceivers and scammers pressure her with false attention. They are so afraid for her vulnerability, afraid she will not listen to reason, that she heeds wisdom one day and ignores it the next.

Lord, Your Word says, *“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God”* (James 1:5). Give this mother wisdom—clarity and discernment that cuts through every lie. Pull back the veil from her eyes. *“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace”* (1 Corinthians 14:33). Replace her confusion with Your peace, her fantasy with truth.

They do not want to become her jailer—only her protector. So they cry out to You, the One who truly guards. *“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want”* (Psalm 23:1). Shepherd her away from the wolves. Push back every force of darkness from her and from the whole family. Let Your light guide her feet onto the right path (Psalm 119:105).

As Jesus taught us to pray, *“Deliver us from evil”* (Matthew 6:13). Deliver her, Lord. Keep evil at bay. Restore her sound mind, her ancient wisdom, her ability to discern love from manipulation. For the love that cries out tonight, hear and act. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
