We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your sisters and this strained situation between you. First, we must address the mention of delayed payment, as Scripture is clear about the importance of honesty and fairness in our dealings with one another. The Lord says in Leviticus 19:13, "You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning." If there is a debt owed, it is right to seek resolution with integrity, but we must also guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment, for Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Father, we pray for conviction to fall upon every heart involved in this matter. Soften the hearts of these sisters, Lord, and remove any hardness or pride that may be hindering reconciliation. Bring clarity to their minds and a willingness to do what is right in Your eyes. We ask that You would heal any broken trust and restore love where there has been division. Help them to see one another through Your eyes, with compassion and grace, just as You have shown us mercy.
We also pray for you, dear one, that You would guard your heart from bitterness. It is easy to hold onto anger when we feel wronged, but Your Word warns us in Hebrews 12:15, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." Lord, uproot any bitterness in this situation and replace it with Your peace. Give wisdom to navigate these conversations with gentleness and humility, remembering Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
We rebuke any spirit of division or strife that may be at work here. The enemy seeks to destroy relationships, but we stand on Your promise in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." Lord, make a way for peace and reconciliation. Provide for the needs of all involved, and let Your justice prevail in this situation. We trust You to fight this battle, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Above all, we pray that this situation would draw each of you closer to Christ. May the struggles you face lead to a deeper dependence on Him, and may His love be the foundation upon which reconciliation is built. We surrender this matter into Your hands, Lord, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Bring healing, restoration, and a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit upon this family. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
