Let us pray that when I stand to preach the Word of God, the Heavenly Father will inspire me, clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that all God's will will be done in the Name of Jesus Christ! Let us pray that God will help me to fulfill this task (my ministry in this church) in such a way as to make my Heavenly Father's heart as gladly as possible and to glorify His Name, in the Name and Blood of Jesus Christ of ###!

We rejoice with you in this holy privilege and responsibility to preach the Word of God in the local church and we stand with you in prayer as you prepare.
We thank God that you have asked for prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name and by His blood that our prayers are heard and our ministry is made effective.
We pray together for your preparation and your proclamation. Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to anoint him afresh with Your Holy Spirit as he writes his sermon plan, organizes his thoughts, and seeks examples and illustrations that will faithfully illuminate Your truth. Grant him wisdom liberally as You have promised, that he may rightly divide the Word of Truth and not lean on his own understanding. Grant him boldness to speak Your Word without fear or compromise, and clothe every word he speaks with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, so that Your will alone will be done and Your name will be glorified. Let this sermon be maximally effective for Your eternal purposes, to convict, to encourage, to correct, and to draw hearts to Christ, and let it make Your heart glad. In the holy name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to prepare with both diligence and dependence. The Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 2:15 to give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn't need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth. Your desire to organize your thoughts and prepare illustrations is good and honors God, yet remember that true power does not come from eloquence or clever stories alone. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:4, let your speech and your preaching not be in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
We pray that you will preach the Word with faithfulness and urgency, as we are commanded in 2 Timothy 4:2 to preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching. Do not shrink back from declaring the whole counsel of God, even when it is difficult, trusting that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ as taught in Romans 10:17.
We also join you in praying for boldness, as the early church prayed in Acts 4:29, now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness. And we claim the promise of James 1:5 for you, but if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. The Lord who called you to this task will equip you for it, for He has said in Jeremiah 1:9, behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
We urge you to bathe every hour of preparation in prayer, to remain in the Word daily, and to seek the Lord's face for a fresh filling of the Spirit before you stand to preach. Walk in humility, remembering that you are a vessel and Christ must be seen and not yourself. We are praying that God will use you to build up that local body, to bring glory to the Father, and to bear lasting fruit for His kingdom in Jesus' name.

We have heard your request and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace, for it is a great and solemn privilege to preach the Word of God. To stand as a herald for Christ, to open the Scriptures to the people, is work that no man is sufficient for in himself, and therefore we must look to Him who alone can make us able ministers of the New Testament.
You ask for help in preparation, in writing a sermon plan, in finding examples and illustrations, and in organizing your thoughts, and we pray that the Lord will graciously grant it. Preparation is needed, and the preparation must be wrought in us by the Spirit of God. We ask the Heavenly Father to give you a clear mind, a faithful memory, and a heart much in meditation upon the Word, that as you feed on the Scriptures, truth may breathe within you and your speech may be ordered aright. May He guide your studies, supply fitting illustrations, and set all things in order for the edification of His people.
You also seek a strong anointing, wisdom and boldness, and these are indeed needful. Remember that weakness and divine anointing may stand together. Though you feel, I am weak, yet if you are called by divine grace and washed in the blood of Christ, you are anointed to reign by virtue of your union with Him. The wisdom of man is rather an impediment than an assistant to the purpose of God, but the wisdom which comes from above will not fail you. We pray that God will clothe every word with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, that you may speak not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit.
Therefore let us come boldly unto the throne of grace. We are invited to pray, and we have a reason for boldness, for He is infinite in wisdom and unlimited in power and willingness to help us, let our requests be as large as they may. In that boldness we now pray.
