Beloved of All
I thank God with you for the improvement you have seen and I join you in giving Him heartfelt thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. To say that you have no hope but Jesus Christ is to stand on the only true foundation, for salvation and deliverance are found in Him alone, and He hears the cry of those who call on Him.
I have prayed for you that our Heavenly Father will have mercy on you, hear your cry, and know the heart you have poured out before Him. In Jesus Christ, mercy and truth meet together. God does not overlook justice, yet in Christ He forgives the guilty and grants peace with Himself. Because of that mercy you can come to Him not on the basis of your own strength or holiness, but on the basis of His abundant mercy and faithfulness, and ask Him to turn toward you, to lift you, and to deliver you fully from this pain and crisis.
You asked for wisdom, strength, and for God to rule your thoughts, words, actions, decisions and prayers. That request pleases Him. Scripture teaches that wisdom is the most valuable thing you can seek, more desirable than riches or anything else you could want. The beginning of that wisdom is reverence for the Lord, a heart that honors Him and hates what is evil. When wisdom is personified in Scripture, it points us to Christ Himself, in whom all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. Like Solomon, who asked not for wealth or fame but for wisdom to walk rightly, you can ask and God will give generously.
True wisdom from above is very different from the wisdom of this world. Worldly wisdom leads to envy, strife and confusion, but the wisdom God gives is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruit, without partiality. It does not produce turmoil, it brings purity and peace, compassion for others because you have received so much mercy yourself, and it preserves and keeps those who love it. Praying for God to rule you is praying for that kind of wisdom to form your inner life, so that your thoughts, words and choices are guided by Him rather than by fear or pressure.
You also asked for strength. If we look within ourselves for strength we will at last find it insufficient. But the Lord Himself is the strength of your life. He is your light and your salvation, so you need not be afraid. His strength does not fail, and when you trust in Him rather than in your own resources, He will uphold you and carry you through what you cannot carry alone. His goodness and mercy follow His people all the days of their journey, and all His paths toward those who keep His covenant are mercy and truth.
So let us pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this dear one. You see the pain and the crisis, You hear the cry and You know the heart. Grant wisdom that surpasses all earthly treasure, teach the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom, and pour out Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding and counsel. Grant Your strength to sustain and guide, and rule over every thought, word, action, decision and prayer. Bring complete victory and blessing according to Your will, deliver fully, and make Your presence and peace known. I thank You that our only hope is Jesus Christ, and I ask all of this in His name, trusting Your mercy and truth. Amen.
